I also point out, that Santorum did in fact understand the law of the land last night, and none of the other candidates, including Dr. Paul, did, or at least spoke correctly about the current law....It may have been a time limitation as to why they didn't clarify their knowledge of the law
 
That is to say, that American citizens, whether they are caught in the U.S. or abroad, and are alleged to be connected to the al Queida or any other terrorist group, have the right to a court hearing.   Non-citizens do not enjoy that right, and can be held indefinitely.
