Teens attack man because they were "bored"

Police: Man attacked because teens 'were just bored'

Cincinnati.com: Pat Mahaney was walking home Saturday with a six-pack of beer, looking forward to a quiet evening watching sports, when something hit him in the back of the head.  "The next thing I knew I woke up on my neighbor's front step and the life squad was there," the 45-year-old North College Hill resident said Wednesday.

Six teenagers "were just bored and were looking for something to do," a police report said, when they ambushed Mahaney as he turned off Simpson Avenue onto Dallas Avenue. He was immediately knocked unconscious.

"I don't remember anything," Mahaney, 45, said as he recovered at his mother's home. "I was walking home from the store – and 'bam.'" It was probably a blessing he was knocked out during the worst of the brutal attack – one of the teens even grabbed a can of beer and hurled it at his head.

The boys face felony charges of aggravated riot and felonious assault. The first five arrestees were: twin brothers Tyree and Terrell Mizzell, Lamont Champion and Daquan Cain, all 13-year-olds; and Michael E. James, 14.  The sixth and final suspect was arrested Tuesday. His name was not immediately available Wednesday. All except one have been released from Hamilton County's juvenile detention center and are on house arrest at their parents' residences, court officials said.  The teens are scheduled for trial Aug. 24.

Mother of the Mizzell twins, Latasha Alford, 32, said that while not excusing her sons' actions, they did feel peer pressure to go along with the other boys. "They are deeply sorry for what happened," she said. "They do feel bad. They do realize what they did was wrong."

When police rounded up most of the teens, took them back to the police station and questioned them, they admitted Mahaney had done nothing to provoke being kicked and punched repeatedly in the face while he was helpless on the ground. The boys told police they only stopped assaulting Mahaney when a neighbor began yelling at them and said he was calling police.

An officer who happened to be in the area responding to a call about dogs fighting spotted a crowd of people gathered at the corner of Dallas and Simpson. Several witnesses told the officer that Mahaney, who was covered in blood, "was jumped by six children," the incident report states.

Mahaney was taken to Mercy Mt. Airy Hospital, where he was treated for four days before being released Tuesday. He suffered so many internal injuries that doctors had to insert a tube down his throat to remove all the blood from his stomach.  A tube remained in his right nostril Wednesday and blood continued to seep out of his head. His left eye was heavily blackened.

Mahaney has no health insurance and has been unemployed for "years," he said. He is looking for factory work but with the slow economy, jobs are almost impossible to come by, he said. He said he was taken aback by the age of his assailants. "I didn't think kids could do something like this," he said. "They should be punished."

"It was a heinous crime but it was not a hate crime," North College Hill Police Chief Gary Foust said. Several residents called police, noting the suspects are black and inquiring whether Mahaney was specifically targeted because he is white. He was not, the chief said.

But police were struck by how cocky the boys were for their age. "They were pretty arrogant in the interview with us," Foust said. "It's appalling. I think it's despicable. This appears to be premeditated and there was no remorse on behalf of any of the assailants. Thirteen-year-olds ought to be playing basketball, not running the streets looking for ways to entertain themselves at the expense of somebody."

How tragic that young children have so little disregard for other human beings.

Fort Hood Shooter Trial Delayed Indefinitely Over Beard

psychiatrist's refusal to shave his beard. (AP)
A military appeals court placed the trial for accused Fort Hood shooter Maj.
Nidal Hasan on hold indefinitely Friday amid continuing issues surrounding
Hasan's refusal to shave his beard, CNN reported.
The court martial was first halted Wednesday so the appeals court could
consider the Army psychiatrist's objections to being forcibly shaved. He has
been fined and held in contempt repeatedly for remaining bearded, which is a
violation of Army regulations, but says the facial hair is an expression of
his faith. Hasan, 41, is an American-born Muslim.
Hasan's court martial had been scheduled to start Monday for the 2009 mass
shooting at Fort Hood, for which he faces 13 charges of premeditated murder
and 32 counts of attempted meditated murder.
Hasan first grew the beard in June, prompting a pre-trial hearing to be
postponed. The judge in the case, Col. Gregory Gross, threatened in July to
have Hasan forcibly shaved if he did not comply with orders to remove the
beard on his own.
According to CNN, it was unclear how long the case would be on hold.

Google Shopping blocks all vitamins and natural products - glitch or deliberate censorship?

Sunday, August 19, 2012 by: Ethan A. Huff, staff writer

(NaturalNews) If you have ever done any sort of comparison shopping online, chances are you have probably used Google's Shopping portal to pull up product information and compare prices. But if you live in the U.S. and try to use Google Shopping to buy vitamins, supplements, personal care products, and even many health foods, your search queries will now turn up blank, as Google has apparently blocked access to all vitamins and natural products for American customers.

Right around June 28 of this year, Google Shopping users first began noticing that search queries for many common health products like "vitamin C" and "fish oil" began turning up zero results, whereas before they would generate a copious list of vendors that offered these products, as well as corresponding price information. In the days and weeks that followed, these same users learned that vitamins and natural products in general were no longer showing up in Google Shopping.

When asked about the issue by several concerned shoppers, Google's public relations team reportedly gave vague and incomplete answers about why natural products are no longer showing up in its Shopping section, even though they are still showing up in Google's general web search area. Others with inside information claim that Google has quietly, without any announcement to the public or its venders, added vitamins, supplements, and other nutritional products to its "sensitive category" of products, which means they are completely blocked from Google Shopping searches.

In either case, Google Shopping users are now unable to search for nutritional products, which means it has become that much harder for the average person to access vitamins and dietary supplements online. And the venders that used to sell such products through Google's site -- many of these businesses had been paying Google to include their products as part of Google Shopping searches -- are now watching their businesses decline, as Google holds a significant monopoly on the product search and comparison market.

"Google publishes a list of products in [the natural health] category that are blocked as a matter of corporate policy in the public interest. So shopping results for (things like) steroids are always blocked," says the Healthy Chronicle, an online health blog sponsored by California-based supplement company iMedmart.com. "(But) we're talking about something completely different here -- Google is blocking whole categories of respected, brand-name products ... from online shoppers for no stated reason."

You can watch a video demonstration by iMedmart.com that illustrates the problem here:
Google Shopping search for vitamins, shampoo, supplement health & beauty not displaying results

And if you are still not convinced, try searching for the following vitamin and superfood items in Google Shopping yourself. Note that several of these items are merely health foods that Google has blocked, and are not even isolated vitamin or dietary supplement products:

• Vitamin C
• Camu camu
• Coconut water
• Vitamin B12
• Spirulina
• Zinc
• Glucosamine

This is just a sampling of the many products that are no longer available through Google Shopping. And many other products, including some of the ones referenced in the above YouTube video from iMedmart.com, will pull up two random listings that, once clicked, lead to a useless selection page with no actual listings.

Vitamins, natural products still show up in Google Shopping searches in other countries

Oddly enough, these very same products appear to be showing up normally for Google Shopping users in other countries. Individuals in France, Australia, the U.K., and elsewhere say that they are not having any problems pulling up nutritional and dietary supplement products in Google Shopping -- only American users seem to be having this problem.

Since Google does not provide live support over the phone, we were unable to speak with someone from the company to get an explanation. However, after reviewing Google's list of "unacceptable product categories" (http://support.google.com), there is no official indication that vitamins, supplements, and other health products are prohibited from Google Shopping.

Meanwhile, if you search for things like Hostess Twinkies, Frito-Lay Doritos, and other unhealthy "junk" foods, you will pull up hundreds of search results in Google Shopping.

Glitch or deliberate censorship?

So what exactly is going on here, and why is Google refusing to plainly answer questions about the matter, or issue a public statement about it? And why is Google now quietly refusing the advertising dollars of a multi-billion dollar industry, which is being completely excluded from its Shopping module?

A vitamin vender who claims to have been able to reach a Google AdWords Specialist says he was told to contact Google's legal department at legal@google.com for more information. This department could not immediately be reached for comment about the Google Shopping anomaly, but the vender believes the issue stems from the European Union (EU)'s recent ban on vitamins and herbs, and Google's attempt to thwart potential trade sanctions by this socialist body (http://wearechangetv.us).

Call to Action: Contact Google and demand answers

At this point, it is unclear whether or not we are dealing with a unintentional glitch in Google's system, or a deliberate censorship effort that seeks to withhold access to natural health products. So we are calling on all NaturalNews readers to utilize Google's "Give us feedback" portal to inquire about the issue:
http://www.google.com/quality_form

Upon accessing the form, select the "Something is broken and I can't use Google properly" option, and explain that you are having trouble pulling up items like fish oil and vitamin C in the Google Shopping portal. Request that the issue be addressed, and also ask to have someone from Google contact you, whether by email or phone, with a followup.

Also, be sure to share this information with others, especially those who purchase vitamins, supplements, and natural health products online. It is important that we nip this in the bud as quickly as possible to ensure that our online access to the health foods of our choice remains uninhibited and uncensored.

Hasan Nisar is not worth being called a Pakistani or a journalist
In fact most journalists affiliated with the Jang group are all in the same class.
If Jang is sold out to India and to the USA, then what else can we expect of the journalists associated with it.
The Jang group is also the one which rehired (Dr) Amir Liaquat Hussain even after the real self of Amir Liaquat was exposed through his comments about Pakistan and Islam.
The entire nation knows about the real Amir Liaquat and the Jang group.
We should listen to those who are saying that by listening to Geo or by reeadin Jang, we are promoting anti Islam and anti Pakistani forces.
We must at least stop buying the things advertised on Geo and in Jang  immediately, othersise we'll also be supporting the anti Islam and anti Pakistan forces

Dinesh D'Souza Pays Obama's Brother's Medical Bills After President Refuses

by Sard

Wasn't it Obama who said, "I am my brother's keeper"? Apparently "I" means Dinesh D'Souza. UNBELIEVABLE!

By Dinesh D'Souza via Fox News:

A few days ago I received a call from a man I recently met named George.  He was a bit flustered, and soon informed me that his young son was sick with a chest condition.  He pleaded with me to send him $1,000 to cover the medical bills.  Since George was at the hospital I asked him to let me speak to a nurse, and she confirmed that George's son was indeed ill.  So I agreed to send George the money through Western Union.  He was profusely grateful.  But before I hung up I asked George, "Why are you coming to me?"  He said, "I have no one else to ask."  Then he said something that astounded me, "Dinesh, you are like a brother to me."

Actually, George has a real life brother who just happens to be the president of the United States.  (George Obama is the youngest of eight children sired by Barack Obama Sr.)  George's brother is a multimillionaire and the most powerful man in the world.  Moreover, George's brother has framed his re-election campaign around the "fair share" theme that we owe obligations to those who are less fortunate.

One of Obama's favorite phrases comes right out of the Bible: "We are our brother's keeper."  Yet he has not contributed a penny to help his own brother. And evidently George does not believe, even in times of emergency, that he can turn to his brother in the White House for help.

So much for spreading the wealth around.

Obama's refusal to help George is especially surprising because George doesn't just live in American-style poverty but rather in Third World poverty.  He lives in a shanty in the Huruma slum in Nairobi.  He gets by on a few dollars a month.  Obama also has an aunt named Hawa Auma, his father's sister, who ekes out a living selling coal on the streets of a small village in Kenya.  She says she would like to have her teeth fixed, but she cannot afford it.  Obama hasn't offered to help her either.

What's going on here?  Why is President Obama so hesitant to help family members in need?

A couple of years ago, George teamed up with a British journalist Damien Lewis and the two of them published George's story in a book called "Homeland." Yet according to Lewis, shortly before the book's publication in America, the publisher Simon & Schuster decided to shred the entire print run, more than 20,000 copies.  Lewis tried unsuccessfully to get an explanation from Simon & Schuster but to no avail.  He now suspects that the White House convinced Simon & Schuster that George's story might prove embarrassing to the president.

"Fair Share" Obama Has Given Zero to His Family Struggling in Third World Kenya

by Scotty Starnes

Obama just enjoys redistributing others money not his own.

From Fox News:

The media will not allow the truth about Obama to get out into public.
