Check out this fluff piece from the Boston Globe about Bawney

http://www.boston.com/news/local/massachusetts/articles/2010/10/30/challenge_pushes_frank_into_overdrive/?page=full

The people in New Bedford are delusional. The woman whose son cannot
even get interviews and it has nothing to do with old Bawn and his
destruction of the economy. Then they place the opponent in the towns
where Old Bawn actually lives and which are among the richest and most
liberal in the country to contrast with New Bedford which is about as
blue collar as you can get and which has been devastated by the policies
of Obama and his protege Patrick, the governor of Mass. BIas anyone?

Interesting interview with Congressman Bill Baird and then a memorable video of a town meeting with him

Sounds like someone trying to justify his career in a puff piece
interview but the town meeting shows why he probably retired . Combine
the interview and his comments about the Dem leadership with the town
meeting and you see why the Dems really need to lose this election big
time and it looks as if they will. Maybe it is just him trying to
justify what he did but Nancy Pelosi and her crew really come out
looking terrible from this one - and rightly so. The damage they have
done in the past 4 years is beyond measure.

I can already hear the libs bringing up Bush but the major damage to the
economy was done in the past 4 years, even more than earlier, and Bush
was at least a classy leader and not a virtually constant campaigner and
tool of the far left. And his keeping silent in the wake of all the
blame that the Dems are trying to attach to him rather than to
themselves shows a lot of forbearance on his part. I wish he could
really unload on them but that is not his MO.

Communist Party USA Leader Openly Backs Obama and the DemonRats

No surprise here.  No damn difference.

Communist Party USA Leader Openly Backs Obama and the DemonRats

Remember, the CPUSA didn't feel the need to run a candidate in 2008 because they already had a horse in the race - Barack Hussein Obama...

Nope.  This isn't your grandparents' Democratic Party anymore, it's the Communist Party in sheepskin:

Communist Party USA Leader Openly Backs Obama and the Democrats
NewZeal

Jarvis Tyner, national executive vice-chair of the Communist Party USA, spoke in Detroit October 7, on the need to for "left and progressive" minded people to help insure a huge voter turnout for the midterm election.

Tyner is uncompromising in his support for the Democrats and Communist Party "friend" Barack Obama.

CA Dem Convention Has Same Demographics As Tea Parties, Mostly Caucasians

Look at all these white faces. Damn racist Tea Party California Democratic Convention.

This isn't considered 'racist' because it's all Democrats, and we know the party founded on the pro-slavery platform, and had a Senator who was a Klansman, can't be racist.

The wretched mind of the American authoritarian

Friday, Oct 29, 2010 15:30 ET
The wretched mind of the American authoritarian
By Glenn Greenwald

Decadent governments often spawn a decadent citizenry.  A 22-year-old Nebraska resident was arrested yesterday for waterboarding his girlfriend as she was tied to a couch, because he wanted to know if she was cheating on him with another man; I wonder where he learned that?  There are less dramatic though no less nauseating examples of this dynamic.  In The Chicago Tribune today, there is an Op-Ed from Jonah Goldberg -- the supreme, living embodiment of a cowardly war cheerleader -- headlined:  "Why is Assange still alive?"  It begins this way:

I'd like to ask a simple question: Why isn't Julian Assange dead? . . . WikiLeaks is easily among the most significant and well-publicized breaches of American national security since the Rosenbergs gave the Soviets the bomb. . . .
So again, I ask: Why wasn't Assange garroted in his hotel room years ago?
It's a serious question.

He ultimately concludes that "it wouldn't do any good to kill him, given the nature of the Web" -- whatever that means -- and reluctantly acknowledges:  "That's fine. And it's the law. I don't expect the U.S. government to kill Assange, but I do expect them to try to stop him."  What he wants the Government to do to "stop" Assange is left unsaid -- tough-guy neocons love to beat their chest and demand action without having the courage to specify what they mean -- but his question ("Why isn't Julian Assange dead?") was published in multiple newspapers around the country today.

Christian Whiton, a former Bush State Department official, wasn't as restrained in his Fox News column last week, writing:

Rather, this [the WikiLeaks disclosure] is an act of political warfare against the United States. . . . .Here are some of the things the U.S. could do: . . .Explore opportunities for the president to designate WikiLeaks and its officers as enemy combatants, paving the way for non-judicial actions against them.

I emailed Whiton and told him I'd like to do a podcast interview with him for Salon about his WikiLeaks proposal and he replied:  "Thank you for the invitation, but I am starting a trip tomorrow and will be on a plane just about all day."  I replied that it didn't have to be the next day -- I'd be happy to do it any day that was convenient for him -- and he then stopped answering.  As I said, the real objective is for them to beat their chest in public and show everyone how tough they are -- take 'em out, Whiton roared -- but they then scamper away when called upon to be specific about what they mean or to defend it (let alone to participate in the violence they relentlessly urge).   Whiton was just echoing his fellow war cheerleader, torture advocate Marc Thiessen, who wrote this in The Washington Post , under the headline "WikiLeaks Must be Stopped"

The government has a wide range of options for dealing with him. It can employ not only law enforcement but also intelligence and military assets to bring Assange to justice and put his criminal syndicate out of business.

"Military assets":  apparently, according to this brave and battle-tested warrior -- Marc Thiessen -- the U.S. can and should just send a drone over London or Stockholm and eradicate Assange, or just send some ground troops into Western Europe to abduct him.

Speaking of war cheerleaders, The Atlantic 's Jeffrey Goldberg today points to an Editorial by The New York Sun 's Seth Lipsky which fantasizes -- as Goldberg puts it -- that "Lincoln, and FDR as well, would have pretty much tried to hang the Wikileaks founder for treason."  Apparently, the fact that Assange is not and never was an American citizen is no bar to hanging him for "treason":  when you wallow in self-centered, self-absorbed imperial exceptionalism, everyone on the planet has the overarching duty of loyalty to your own government, and you think everyone is under the auspices of American rule.

There are multiple common threads here:  the cavalier call for people's deaths, the demand for ultimate punishments without a shred of due process, the belief that the U.S. is entitled to do whatever it wants anywhere in the world without the slightest constraints, a wholesale rejection of basic Western liberties such as due process and a free press, the desire for the President to act as unconstrained monarch, and a bloodthirsty frenzy that has led all of them to cheerlead for brutal, criminal wars of aggression for a full decade without getting anywhere near the violence they cheer on, etc.  But that's to be expected.  We lived for eight years under a President who essentially asserted all of those powers and more, and now have a one who has embraced most of them and added some new ones, including the right to order even American citizens, far from any battlefield, assassinated without a shred of due process.  Given that, it would be irrational to expect a citizenry other than the one that is being molded with this mentality.

One of the most progressive ads of the election cycle comes -- ironically, sadly, and revealingly enough -- from Alaska's GOP incumbent Sen. Lisa Murkowski, against GOP nominee and tea party candidate Joe Miller:

You Just Might Be a Marxist

You Just Might Be a Marxist

Posted By Rand Simberg On October 28, 2010 @ 12:00 am In Uncategorized | 5 Comments

With his new book [1], Stanley Kurtz has done what the media refused to do — finally vet the president and his radical past, two years too late to prevent him from becoming president, but just in time to issue a restraining order on him next Tuesday.

Yet people seem to be under the misapprehension that in order to be a Marxist, one has to be as explicitly so as the president has been with his deliberate associations with socialist and communist organizations and individuals. But Marxism isn't a doctrine so much as an attitude. It is founded on a couple of key illogical and immoral foundations, which many people find superficially appealing, human nature being what it is.

The first is the notion that what people "need" is an objective rather than subjective notion, which can be determined by benevolent third parties. After all, if one is going to reorder society and redistribute wealth, it is only "fair" that people be allowed to get what they "need" before depriving them of anything beyond that to satisfy the "needs" of others. This concept is exemplified by the famous phrase: "To each according to his need, from each according to his ability."

But of course, in the real world, the difference between "need" and "desire" is purely subjective, and varies with the individual and their degree of self-actualization. At its most basic, there is no "need" for anything except air, food, and shelter. And such needs can be met in a North Korean prison. But when someone is lecturing someone else about what they "need," what they really mean is that because they don't perceive a need for those things, no one else really has one either — whether it's flat-screen television, an SUV, a lobster dinner, a second home, or another handgun. They are perhaps happy to live in a rabbit warren, eat macrobiotic food, and ride their bicycle to work, and don't think that anyone else should "need" more. And of course, since those selfish people don't really need more, the rest of their resources are now available to satisfy the unmet "real" needs of the rest of society.

The other mythical foundation of Marxism is the labor theory of value, and its corollary, that "intrinsic" value exists. Like the "need" myth, it is one of subjectivity versus objectivity. Marxists believe that there is a knowable objective value for everything, and the very act of work creates it. That is, if a worker works a certain number of hours, his output is intrinsically valuable.

But of course, a little thought reveals this to be nonsense. Nothing has intrinsic value. Absent a person to value it, nothing has value at all. And the value of things is entirely subjective. If it weren't, no trade would occur. Every voluntary exchange occurs because two people have something to trade, and each person places a higher value on the other person's object than their own. If they both valued both equally, there would be no point in swapping. Even though there is a price denominated in dollars on an item in a store, that doesn't mean that's what it is worth. It won't move off the shelves unless its price is lower than its value to some of the customers. If it is higher than the value to everyone, it will not be sold.

Both of these notions undermine the logic of the free market, and when they are implemented into policy and law, as they have been over the past century or so, the growth of wealth of the nation, and sometimes its absolute value, is accordingly reduced. And while they are intrinsically Marxist notions, many hold them who do not consider themselves Marxists.

So, with apologies to Jeff Foxworthy, let me disabuse them of their false consciousness:

If you believe, as the president does [2], that "it's good for everyone when we spread the wealth around," you might be a Marxist.

If you believe that "the rich" don't "need" tax rate reductions, you might be a Marxist.

If you believe that, at some point, other people have "made enough money [3]," you might be a Marxist.

If you believe that we have to "keep people in their homes," even when they have never had any equity in them, and despite the fact that they can't afford the mortgage and the market is not being allowed to clear, then you might be a Marxist.

If you believe that there is a floor on the value of everyone's labor, and it is a single number applicable in every state of the union, regardless of the cost of living, then you might be a Marxist.

If you believe that handing someone who pays no taxes a government check is a "tax cut," you might be a Marxist.

If you believe that the government should pay the "prevailing local wage" on government projects, you might be both a Marxist and a racist, since Davis-Bacon was instituted to shut lower-paid minorities out of such projects.

If you believe that unemployment checks are the surest, fastest way to stimulate the economy [4], you might be a Marxist.

If you believe that the capital gains tax should be increased, even though it would result in reduced government revenue, because that's what is required for "fairness [5]," you might be a Marxist.

If you believe that you know better than someone else what they "need," and are willing to impose your belief on them at gunpoint and force them to purchase it, and not allow them to purchase things that they think they need, then you just might be a Marxist, too.

Wonder why Obama, Hillary, Al Gore, Goldman Sachs and others still push carbon trading when the global warming hoax has been so thoroughly discredited? Follow the money...They will all make billions.

Wonder why Obama, Hillary, Al Gore, Goldman Sachs and others still push carbon trading when the global warming hoax has been so thoroughly discredited? Follow the money...They will all make billions.

I have written several articles about the man-made myth called global warming climate change and how if you follow the money, you will see why liberal Democrats, and the corporations that fund them, continue to push for climate change legislation such as Cap-and-Trade. It is to make themselves even richer. This article covers the scheme that involves politicians, banks and the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX) and it all ties this fraud together.

Read the full article and pass it along to your friends.

From ProjectWorldAwareness.com:

So . . . you think you know quite a bit about Obama and his band of thieves. You don't know anything yet.  Read on all of this as it all comes together in the last part……..  a must read.

-
This is an interesting story put together from various articles and TV shows by the British Times paper.  It shows what Obama and his friends are really all about.  It's not hope and change, it is money.

I warn you, the first part is a little boring, but stick with it. The second part connects all the dots for you (it will open your eyes). The end explains how Obama and all his cronies will end up as multi-billionaires.  (It's definitely worth the read.  You will not be disappointed).

A small bank in Chicago called SHOREBANK almost went bankrupt during the recession. The bank made a profit on its foreign micro-loans (see below) but had lost money in sub-prime mortgages in the US .  It was facing likely closure by federal regulators.  However, because the bank's executives were well connected with members of the Obama Administration, a private rescue bailout was arranged.  The bank's employees had donated money to Obama's Senate campaign.  In other words, ShoreBank was too politically connected to be allowed to go under.

ShoreBank survived and invested in many "green" businesses such as solar panel manufacturing.  In fact, the bank was mentioned in one of Obama's speeches during his election campaign because it subjected new business borrowers to eco-litmus tests.

Prior to becoming President, Obama sat on the board of the JOYCE FOUNDATION, a liberal charity.  This foundation was originally established by Joyce Kean's family which had accumulated millions of dollars in the lumber industry.  It mostly gave funds to hospitals but after her death in 1972, the foundation was taken over by radical environmentalists and social justice extremists.

This JOYCE FOUNDATION, which is rumored to have assets of 8 billion dollars, has now set up and funded, with a few partners, something called the CHICAGO CLIMATE EXCHANGE, known as CXX.  It will be the exchange (like the Chicago Grain Futures Market for agriculture) where Environmental Carbon Credits are traded.

Under Obama's new bill, businesses in the future will be assessed a tax on how much CO2 they produce (their Carbon Footprint) or in other words how much they add to global warming. If a company produces less CO2 than their allotted measured limit, they earn a Carbon Credit. This Carbon Credit can be traded on the CXX exchange.  Another company, which has gone over their CO2 limit, can buy the Credit and "reduce" their footprint and tax liability.  It will be like trading shares on Wall Street.

Well, it was the same JOYCE FOUNDATION, along with some other private partners and Wall Street firms that funded the bailout of ShoreBank.
The foundation is now one of the major shareholders.  The bank has now been designated to be the "banking arm" of the CHICAGO CLIMATE EXCHANGE (CXX).  In addition, Goldman Sachs has been contracted to run the investment trading floor of the exchange.

So far so good; now the INTERESTING parts.

One ShoreBank co-founder, named Jan Piercy, was a Wellesley College roommate of Hillary Clinton.  Hillary and Bill Clinton have long supported the bank and are small investors.

Another co-founder of Shorebank, named Mary Houghton, was a friend of Obama's late mother.  Obama's mother worked on foreign MICRO-LOANS for the Ford Foundation.  She worked for the foundation with a guy called Geithner. Yes, you guessed it.  This man was the father of Tim Geithner, our present Treasury Secretary, who failed to pay all his taxes for two years.

Another founder of ShoreBank was Ronald Grzywinski, a cohort and close friend of Jimmy Carter.

The former ShoreBank Vice Chairman was a man called Bob Nash.  He was the deputy campaign manager of Hillary Clinton's presidential bid.  He also sat on the board of the Chicago Law School with Obama and Bill Ayers, the former terrorist.  Nash was also a member of Obama's White House transition team.

(To jog your memories, Bill Ayers is a Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago .  He founded the Weather Underground, a radical revolutionary group that bombed buildings in the 60s and 70s.  He had no remorse for those who were killed, escaped jail on a technicality, and is still an admitted Marxist).

When Obama sat on the board of the JOYCE FOUNDATION, he "funneled" thousands of charity dollars to a guy named John Ayers, who runs a dubious education fund.  Yes, you guessed it.  The brother of Bill Ayers, the terrorist.

Howard Stanback is a board member of Shorebank.  He is a former board chairman of the Woods Foundation.  Obama and Bill Ayers, the terrorist, also sat on the board of the Woods Foundation.  Stanback was formerly employed by New Kenwood Inc. a real estate development company co-owned by Tony Rezko.

(You will remember that Tony Rezk o was the guy who gave Obama an amazing sweet deal on his new house.  Years prior to this, the law firm of Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland had represented Rezko's company and helped him get more than 43 million dollars in government funding.  Guess who worked as a lawyer at the firm at the time.  Yes, Barack Obama).

Adele Simmons, the Director of ShoreBank, is a close friend of Valerie Jarrett, a White House senior advisor to Obama. Simmons and Jarrett also sit on the board of a dubious Chicago Civic Organization.

Van Jones sits on the board of ShoreBank and is one the marketing directors for "green" projects.  He also holds a senior advisor position for black studies at Princeton University .  You will remember that Mr. Van Jones was appointed by Obama in 2009 to be a Special Advisor for Green Jobs at the White House.  He was forced to resign over past political activities, including the fact that he is a Marxist.

Al Gore was one of the smaller partners to originally help fund the CHICAGO CLIMATE EXCHANGE. He also founded a company called Generation Investment Management (GIM) and registered it in London , England . GIM has close links to the UK-based Climate Exchange PLC, a holding company listed on the London Stock Exchange.  This company trades Carbon Credits in Europe (just like CXX will do here) and its floor is run by Goldman Sachs.

Along with Gore, the other co-founder of GIM is Hank Paulson, the former US Treasury Secretary and former CEO of Goldman Sachs.  His wife, Wendy, graduated from and is presently a Trustee of Wellesley College.  Yes, the same college that Hillary Clinton and Jan Piercy, a co-founder of Shorebank attended.  (They are all friends).

Interesting? And now the closing…

Because many studies have been exposed as scientific nonsense, people are slowly realizing that man-made global warming is nothing more than a money-generating hoax. As a result, Obama is working feverishly to win the race.  He aims to push a Cap-and-Trade Carbon Tax Bill through Congress and into law.

Obama knows he must get this passed before he loses his majority in Congress in the November elections.  Apart from Climate Change he will "sell" this bill to the public as generating tax revenue to reduce our debt.  But, it will also make it impossible for US companies to compete in world markets and drastically increase unemployment.  In addition, energy prices (home utility rates) will sky rocket.

TOW AND GO

Recently, in the City of Dallas, Texas, they passed an ordinance that if you are pulled over by law enforcement,

and are not able to provide proof of insurance, your car will be towed away on the spot. Afterwards, to retrieve

your car from the impound lot, you must show the requiredproof of insurance to have your car released to you.

This has made it easy for the City of Dallas to remove uninsured cars from the roads.  These vehicles are typically

driven by illegals.

Shortly after this, "No insurance, we keep your vehicle" ordinance was passed, the Dallas impound lots began to fill

up quickly, and were all full after only nine days.

Most of the impounded cars were driven by illegals.  Not only must you provide proof of insurance to have your car released,

you also have topay for the cost of the tow, a $350 fine, and charged $20 for every day their car is kept in the lot.

I would suggest other cities across the nation follow what Dallas, Texas is doing.  Not only is it getting uninsured drivers off

the road, but it is taking away vehicles driven by illegals that have no insurance on them.

Brings a tear to my eyes, doesn't it?

Not a Hint of racial profiling, but how effective, nonetheless.

No. Christine O'Donnell is a scary witch. She is NOT me.

Sean Hannnity is a frightening anti-American pundit.

No shock there.   We've all surmised that you tune out anything that is not published by George Soros, or that deals with issues, facts, or anything of consequence.

SHOCK! The federal government spent $4,500,000 to learn that most
troops and families think DADT should be repealed. So much for
"enormous consequences" Robert Gates!

Pentagon poll: Most U.S. troops are OK with gays in military

Petty Officer Autumn Sandeen, Lt. Dan Choi, Cpl. Evelyn Thomas, Capt.
Jim Pietrangelo II, Cadet Mara Boyd and Petty Officer Larry Whitt,
stand together after they handcuffed themselves to the fence outside
the White House in April during a protest for gay rights.
CAPTIONBy Pablo Martinez Monsivais, APAn internal Pentagon study finds
that most U.S. troops and their families don't care whether gays are
allowed to serve openly and think the "don't ask, don't tell" policy
could be dropped, the Associated Press reports, quoting officials
familiar with its findings.

A 103-question survey on the issue was sent to about 400,000
active-duty and Reserve forces and another 150,000 to family members
as part of a year-long study ordered in February by Defense Secretary
Robert Gates.

The study asked, among other things, whether the troops had ever
shared a room or the showers with gay peers, and how they might act if
a gay servicemember lived with a same-sex partner on base, The
Washington Post reports.

The Pentagon is reluctant to discuss the findings in full until after
Dec. 1, when it rolls out its own plan for repeal of the policy.

Officials tell the AP that a working group is analyzing the results
and drawing up a plan to overturn the policy should Congress repeal
the 1993 "don't ask, don't tell" law.
