Al-Jazeera Now on Houston airwaves

Al-Jazeera Now on Houston airwaves

Creep, creep. A Houston radio station is airing the English version of the vehemently anti-American al Jazeera (aka Terror TV) network, and they are beefing up security? The world really is upside down right now. via Houston Press We noted back in September that KPFT might begin broadcasting Al-Jazeera content as part of a deal [...]

Tennessee: ACLU Strong-Arming Schools Into De-Emphasizing Christmas

Tennessee: ACLU Strong-Arming Schools Into De-Emphasizing Christmas

Yup, you can always count on the ACLU to regress into Scroogerisms during the Christmas holidays:

ACLU-TN Alerts Tennessee Public Schools
To Importance of Inclusivity at the Holidays
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
December 7, 2010

CONTACT: Hedy Weinberg, Executive Director, (615) 320-7142

NASHVILLE – Responding to numerous complaints from families about religious holiday activities in Tennessee public schools, the American Civil Liberties Union of Tennessee (ACLU-TN) sent a letter late yesterday to the 137 public school superintendents across the state.  The letter reminded school officials that holiday celebrations focusing primarily on one religious holiday amount to a school's unconstitutional endorsement of religion.

"The founders of the United States believed in the significance of religion.  But they also understood that decisions about when and how to practice religion are best left to individuals, families and religious institutions," said Hedy Weinberg, ACLU-TN Executive Director.  "During the holiday season, it is especially important that we all embrace the constitutional guarantees of the First Amendment in order to ensure that religious freedom flourishes."

The ACLU-TN letter cites several U.S. Supreme Court decisions, explaining that "While public schools can teach about religion and religious holidays, public schools may not engage in indoctrination.  Thus comparative religion courses can be taught but endorsing religious doctrine or sponsoring religious activities is unconstitutional."

The letter further explains, "[ACLU-TN] welcome[s] holiday celebrations that teach children about a variety of holidays.  We believe, however, that holiday celebrations that focus primarily on one religious holiday can result in indoctrination as well as a sense within students who do not share that religion of being outsiders to the school."

ACLU-TN's recent letter to superintendents, as well as the organization's "Know Your Rights: Religion in Public Schools – A Guide for Administrators and Teachers," can be found at http://www.aclu-tn.org/religiousfreedom.htm#resources.

There will be no Christmas in DC this Year

There will be no Nativity Scene in Washington this year.
The Supreme Court has ruled that there cannot be a Nativity Scene in the United States’ Capital this Christmas season. This isn’t for any religious reason. They simply have not been able to find Three Wise Men in the nation’s capital.
The search for a Virgin continues.
There was no problem, however, finding enough asses to fill the stable.

What's So Great about Representative Government?

What's So Great about Representative Government?
Tuesday, December 07, 2010
by Stephen Mauzy

"Two wolves and a sheep deciding what's for dinner" -- a clever metaphorical descriptor of pure democracy sometimes attributed to that wellspring of clever metaphorical descriptors Benjamin Franklin. Other founding fathers were less clever and less metaphorical on democracy than Mr. Franklin, but just as damning nonetheless:

"A simple democracy … is one of the greatest of evils." -- Benjamin Rush, signer of the Declaration of Independence

"Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide." -- John Adams

"Democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found incompatible with personal security, or the rights of property; and have, in general, been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths." -- James Madison

Thank goodness for representative republicanism, then. If not for the moderating oversight of deliberative, sapient representatives, the insatiable plebeians would reduce life to a rent-seeking orgy -- continually pillaging one contrived minority group after another for the putative benefit of the commonweal.

Facts ruin -- as they so often do -- a perfectly good theory. A cursory vetting of the evidence reveals that elected representatives are no more deliberative, nor sapient, nor any less rapacious than the plebeians whose vote they seek. It is understandable, really: the plebeians, theoretically and in fact, are the ultimate judge of all ideas and the source of all power; thus, they demand a representative who excels in nullity and mediocrity in order to best reflect majority opinion.[1] The plebeians demand a mirror, even if it is cracked.

Indeed, the representatives, whose very charge is to deliberate the issues as agents, have long ago abdicated their charge to the labor-saving wonders of delegation: our elected representatives employ tens of thousands of bureaucratic committees and myrmidons to consider and enforce that which they either cannot or will not consider and enforce. The consequence -- intended or not -- is a government able to invade every crevice of private life while allowing elected representatives to live an unaccountable, leisurely, gerrymander-assured existence.

If our elected representatives at least trudged their own water, physics would serve as a limiting agent: 535 elected representatives and 24 hours in a day set a natural boundary on legislative shenanigans. And for all the pooh-poohing of pure democracy by our founding fathers, a pure democratic vote would only tighten the boundary. Even if the plebeians know nothing about everything put before them, time, logistics, and costs would attenuate the number of legislative afflictions.[2]

As Hans-Hermann Hoppe has so pointedly noted, democracy is owned by no one. But neither is representative government. Both are marked by infantilized societies: time preference shortens, and current consumption trumps wealth-producing capital formation; hence, tax burdens increase, government debt swells, and inflation persists. Lower savings, legal uncertainty, moral relativism, entitlement, impulsiveness, and obesity are the corollary. The commentariat pensively asks why our government cannot save or plan. It simply can't.

What are the alternatives? Montesquieu noted three main forms of government, each supported by a social principle: monarchy, supported by the principle of honor; republic, supported by the principle of virtue; and despotism, supported by the principle of fear. Montesquieu added that governments decline and fall as often by carrying their principle to excess as by neglecting it altogether.

Representative republicanism long-ago exhausted virtue. Meanwhile, Kim Jong Il, Idress Déby, Fidel Castro, and Robert Mugabe have proven that despotism renders countries uninhabitable. And a monarchy? It always provokes a laugh and a rote recital of the Revolutionary War slogan "no taxation without representation!" But is a monarchy really so laughable, and is taxation with representation superior to taxation without representation?

The king demanded a tribute, but not much of one. During the monarchical age, the share of government revenue remained remarkably stable and low. Economic historian Carlo Cipolla notes,

All in all, one must admit that the portion of income drawn by the public sector most certainly increased from the eleventh century onward all over Europe, but it is difficult to imagine that, apart from particular times and places, the public power ever managed to draw more than 5 to 8 percent of national income.

As for the level of tyranny, it could ebb and flow with the king's whim but it mostly ebbed. Tocqueville observed,

There was a time in Europe in which the law, as well as the consent of the people, clothed kings with a power almost without limits. But almost never did it happen that they made use of it.

Sure, the king could have decreed that you not smoke, not ingest too much salt, not cut hair without a license, or not use more than 1.6 gallons of water to dispose of human waste, but he simply did not give a damn, unlike today's elected representative, who is more Gladys Kravitz than statesman.

The king was a capital owner in his domain, and he acted like one. Only an idiot would risk lowering the value of his property while raising the possibility of regicide over mindless minutia. And if the king was an idiot, plenty of courtiers and sundry relatives were in waiting to set him straight.

Admittedly, the legitimacy of monarchical rule has been lost to Western societies' insurmountable belief in the common man, but, unbeknown to Western societies, so has the legitimacy of representative republicanism (at least it has been lost to anyone who values freedom and liberty). The West has been too inculcated in the corrosive ways of egalitarianism to rebuild itself. Today's government-funded geneticists and sociologists are keen to prove, with an impressive array of data and formulations, that all men are naturally equal and if some are more equal than others, then the difference is attributable to nurture, not to nature.

How untrue. Men are naturally unequal, as a casual conversation with any neighbor, acquittance, or business associate soon reveals. The natural order of a free society predicated on voluntary private-property transactions is hierarchical and elitist. Diverse human talents (we are unique, after all) dictate that a few individuals rise to the status of an elite. But elitism always conjures jealousy in the mediocre majority, so the elites and their natural talents are tamped down by the tyranny of egalitarianism.

Instead of repressing the talents of the elites to assuage perceived slights, we should let them flourish, as we should all flourish, sans the stifflingly political rigmarole of democracy and representative republicanism. No more of this "get-out-the-vote" nonsense for inchoate, ungracious 18-year-olds and multigenerational welfare recipients whose only purpose for voting is to vote themselves more of someone else's property. Only a system directed, as Frank Chodorov so eloquently put it, by "men of high purpose [who] give of their talents for the common welfare, with no thought of recompense other than the goodwill of the community," can sustain prosperity and freedom.[3]

Benjamin Franklin not only turned a sharp eye on democracy; he kept a wary one on representative government as well. "When the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic," he is said to have warned.

The truth is, we have been heralding the end of the republic since the republic began, but the pace has quickened to a gallop in recent decades. It has never been a question of if Western-style representative government will collapse, but only a question of when. We need only to peer east toward Western Europe to see that when is no longer a distant conundrum left to torment unborn generations. When is very much upon us today.

Notes

[1] The recent sprouting of "brave" politicians standing against the TSA is hardly a coincidence.

[2] It is also much more difficult to lobby a divergent body of voters than a convergent body of representatives.

[3] I'm somewhat ambivalent on elites of high purpose, because of the problems of transferability of expertise. For example, Bill Gates was a brilliant businessman and software developer, but he has proven to be a statist buffoon in philanthropy.

The WikiLeaks Vindication of George W. Bush

The WikiLeaks de facto declassification of privileged material makes it case closed: Saddam Hussein possessed weapons of mass destruction -- and intended to restart his program once the heat was off.   ···
But WikiLeaks' newly-released Iraq war documents reveal that for years afterward, U.S. troops continued to find chemical weapons labs, encounter insurgent specialists in toxins and uncover weapons of mass destruction (emphasis added). ... Chemical weapons, especially, did not vanish from the Iraqi battlefield. ···   In 2008, our military shipped out of Iraq -- on 37 flights in 3,500 barrels -- what even The Associated Press called "the last major remnant of Saddam Hussein's nuclear program": 550 metric tons of the supposedly nonexistent yellowcake.

Gee, ya think?  A megalomaniac obsessed with power didn't seek to have  the big one?

**JP** Saudi party has sex, drugs, rock 'n' roll

Report: Saudi party has sex, drugs, rock 'n' roll

LONDON - A world of sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll plays out behind the official Islamic law observances of Saudi Arabian royalty, U.S. diplomats say in cables revealed by WikiLeaks and quoted by the Guardian newspaper.

Consulate officials in Jeddah, describing an underground Halloween party thrown last year by a member of the large Al-Thunayan family, said liquor and prostitutes were present in abundance behind heavily guarded villa gates, the Guardian said.
The diplomats wanted to keep the family member's identity secret, the Guardian said.
A U.S. energy drinks company helped finance the party, it said.

"Alcohol, though strictly prohibited by Saudi law and custom, was plentiful at the party's well-stocked bar. The hired Filipino bartenders served a cocktail punch using sadiqi, a locally-made moonshine," said the cable quoted by the Guardian. "It was also learned through word-of-mouth that a number of the guests were in fact 'working girls', not uncommon for such parties."
The Guardian said the dispatch from U.S. partygoers, signed off by the consul in Jeddah, Martin Quinn, added: "Though not witnessed directly at this event, cocaine and hashish use is common in these social circles."
The "thriving and throbbing" Saudi underground party scene is protected by Saudi royalty but available only behind closed doors for the very rich, whose homes feature basement bars, discos and clubs, said the cable, according to the Guardian.
Royal patronage meant that the more than 150 Saudi men and women, most in their 20s and 30s, partied without fear of religious police, according to the cable, which described the use of a strict guest list: "The scene resembled a nightclub anywhere outside the kingdom: plentiful alcohol, young couples dancing, a DJ at the turntables and everyone in costume."

The diplomats, the cable said, also explained why they thought their host was so attached to Nigerian bodyguards, some of whom were working on the door: "Most of the prince's security forces were young Nigerian men. It is common practice for Saudi princes to grow up with hired bodyguards from Nigeria or other African nations who are of similar age and who remain with the prince well into adulthood. The lifetime spent together creates an intense bond of loyalty."
The cable, the Guardian said, noted the kingdom has 10,000 princes, some "royal highnesses" directly descended from King Abdul Aziz and "highnesses" from less direct branches.
One high-society Saudi, quoted by the Guardian, told the diplomat: "The increased conservatism of our society over these past years has only moved social interaction to the inside of people's homes."

Exposed: The new liberal plan to regulate speech

From the Desk of:
David Martin, Executive Vice President

MEDIA RESEARCH CENTER
12/8/2010

The new liberal assault on free speech is underway!

Fred,

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is moving rapidly to censor conservative speech while expanding their reach and control over the news media in America.

In a speech in New York last Thursday, FCC commissioner Michael Copps, lamented that American journalism is in "grave peril", and the federal government needs to become more involved to bolster "traditional media."

Commissioner Copps then laid out a set of proposed changes to the station relicensing process that would take broadcast content out of the hands of the American People and put it in the hands of government bureaucrats!

This plan would require that all stations pass a "Public Value Test" if they want to continue to broadcast. Rather than ratings and the free market determining that "Public Value," it will be left to the central planners at the FCC in Washington, DC!

CNSNews.com was on top of this story as soon as it happened. Click here for the full report.

+ + Howard Dean lets slip what he thinks of American Citizens

In another sign that momentum is building on the Left to silence conservatives, during a recent interview, Howard Dean called for a return of the so-called "Fairness" Doctrine. He feels that this is necessary to silence the Fox News Channel, which he believes, "just makes stuff up and is a propaganda outlet."

Much like the FCC plan discussed above, a return to the Fairness Doctrine would result in Washington liberals deciding what is appropriate political speech. Though Mr. Dean's goal is clearly to silence conservatives, he claims that this is a necessary move to protect us clueless Americans:

"Americans don't know what's going on and therefore the media can have their way with them intellectually." -Fmr. DNC Chair Howard Dean

Listen to his remarks and take a stand against Howard Dean and for the First Amendment here!

Gem, after their stern rebuke by the voter's last month, the Left has turned their attention to implementing their agenda via the unelected, unaccountable FCC.

The Media Research Center founder, Brent Bozell has long held that, "Without the free exchange of ideas, there cannot be a democracy." That Howard Dean and his liberal friends seek to anoint themselves as arbiters of what ideas may be freely exchanged, is a terrifying development!

We need your help.

We're working with conservative groups nationwide to quickly mount a monumental counterforce of at least 500,000 citizens to rally against these and other threats to the First Amendment. Please stand with us to challenge these latest politically motivated acts of censorship.

After signing, forward this message to your conservative friends and family. Urge them to read our CNSNews.com article to better understand this unfolding threat. Let them know that each additional signer will help us to put these leftists on notice that we will not allow this unprecedented power grab.

We appreciate your continued support of MRC initiatives on this critical issue,

David

P.S. Again, forward this message to your conservative friends urging them to take a stand with you by signing our "Free Speech Alliance" petition.

Muslim Terrorists Train TSA

The Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) announced on its website that the entity has completed training for 2,200 TSA officers at the Los Angeles International Airport. This training includes special sensitivity training in handling the Koran during security screenings and even private screenings for Muslim women.

Leaving aside for a moment the very public groping of a Catholic nun by a Muslim TSA officer (photo included in the story), MPAC itself has dangerous liaisons with terrorist entities such as the Muslim Brotherhood as well as an al Qaeda funder currently serving prison time.

One of the two founders of MPAC is a long-established protégé of the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, and both founders having spent time in a Egyptian prison for Brotherhood activities there.

Welcome to America where terrorist histories are wiped clean by political correctness!

Muslim Brotherhood Front Group Trains Airport Screeners

by Connie Hair (more by this author)

Posted 12/06/2010 ET

The Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) has completed training for 2,200 Transportation Safety Officers (TSOs) at the Los Angeles International Airport according to a press release found on the MPAC website.

The MPAC release notes that the two-month training course informed officers of "the diversity of Muslims around the world from cultural dress to language to tenets. The four trainers taught the TSOs how to properly handle a Quran and discussed the different ways Muslim women and men choose to cover or dress. For example, the TSOs learned if a woman wears hijab and needs a secondary screening she should be screened in a private area by a female TSO officer."

http://yesbuthowever.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/tsa.jpg(The Drudge Report shocked the nation with this photo of a nun being patted down by a Muslim woman in head garb. Apparently Christian women are afforded only public groping sessions.)

In 1986, MPAC was formed as a political action arm of one of the largest Wahhabi mosques in America, the Islamic Center for Southern California.

As the Center for Security Policy's Team B II report entitled "Sharia: The Threat to America" notes, "The founders of the Islamic Center for Southern California are Hassan Hathout and his brother Maher Hathout. The late Hassan Hathout was a senior member of the Muslim Brotherhood Movement. The two brothers Maher spent time in an Egyptian prison during the early days of the Muslim Brotherhood's activities there, led by the Brotherhood's founder Hassan Al Banna.  MPAC's own publication, The Minaret, has proudly called Hassan a 'companion of' and Maher 'a close disciple of' Brotherhood founder Hassan al Banna."

Maher Hathout also founded and is currently a senior advisor for MPAC.  He and others at MPAC also currently work for and maintain a close relationship with the Islamic Center of Southern California.

Hathout was also on the board of directors and a member of the American Muslim Council (AMC) from 1993 to 1997. AMC was founded by the al Qaeda financier and Hamas operative Abdurahman Alamoudi who is currently serving 23 years in prison for funding terrorist groups including al Qaeda.

Maher Hathout served on the AMC Board of Directors at the same time Alamoudi was serving as its Executive Director.

"Maher Hathout has publicly voiced his approval of Designated Terrorist Organizations such as Hezbollah; decried many U.S. counterterrorism efforts; called for the destruction of Israel; and, openly supported known terrorists such as Hasan al Turabi, the leader of the National Islamic Front of Sudan. Yet, the organization he founded, MPAC, enjoys a reputation in official U.S. circles as a 'moderate' Muslim organization," the Team B II report states.

"Salam al-Marayati is the current president of MPAC. Al-Marayati was denied a leadership position on the National Commission on Terrorism by then-House Democratic Leader Richard Gephardt when it came to light that Al-Marayati claimed that the terrorist group, Hezbollah, was a legitimate organization and has the right to attack the Israeli Army.

"Edina Lekovic is MPAC's Communications Director. Previously, Lekovic was editor of the magazine Al-Talib when it editorialized that Osama bin Laden was a freedom fighter and warrior for Allah, who should be defended by Muslims. Al-Talib is the magazine published by the UCLA chapter of the Muslim Student's Association. ... The MSA was the first Muslim Brotherhood organization established in the United States."

MPAC works as a propaganda and misinformation ministry for the Muslim Brotherhood.  One example offered in the Team B II Report is its aggressive and successful pursuit of total control of the language used by the United States government in regard to Muslim terrorists.

"MPAC attacked the language used to describe the events of September 11, 2001 detailed in the 9/11 Commission Report. MPAC demanded an end to the use of words such as jihad, ummah, caliphate, shariah and others in relation to terrorist doctrine," the report states.

"In subsequent years, the National Counterterrorism Center, the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Bureau of Investigation have all issued strategic counterterrorism documents devoid of these terms. Such conformity to shariah by U.S. government entities such as the FBI and DHS is an extraordinary strategic victory for the enemy in the information battlespace."

The Investigative Project offers another extensive background study of MPAC's links to jihadi terrorist groups.

al Qaeda Hopes to Surgically Implant Bombs into Terrorists

WASHINGTON - Jihadis bent on concocting a "new kind of terrorism" are brainstorming how to surgically implant explosives to make undetectable Frankenbombers.

"What is your opinion about surgeries through which I can implant the bomb ...inside the operative's body?" an apparent mad surgeon recently asked an online forum used by Al Qaeda affiliates.

He called on bombmakers and doctors to cook up the perfect solution to murder "larger numbers of unbelievers and apostates."

"I am waiting for the interaction of the experienced brothers to connect the two sciences together and produce a new kind of terrorism, Allah willing," he wrote, according to a translation by terror experts at the SITE Intelligence Group.

The scheming comes amid controversy over body scanners and pat-downs in airports that some Americans complain are too invasive. The ideas for a "surgically booby-trapped martyrdom seeker" were chillingly concise for the doctor of death monitored by SITE.

Stitching a bomb into the abdominal cavity made of plastic or liquid explosives - such as semtex or PETN - was judged the best method.

"It must be planted near the surface of the body, because the human body absorbs shocks," advised one terrorist.

Prior to the attempted destruction of a Detroit-bound flight last Christmas by accused underwear bomber Farouk Abdulmutallab, Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula almost assassinated a Saudi prince with a bomb believed to have been concealed inside a body cavity; it was recently clarified that it was the first attempt at an explosive hidden in undies.

Unproven body cavity bombs worry security agents, though "no one has figured out how to actually do it," said a counterterror official.

Last month, Transportation Security Administration chief John Pistole said his agency wouldn't do cavity checks because secondary screening procedures and technology can find fuses and detonators, which must be outside the body.

"You have to have some external device to cause that initiation," he said. "That's what the advanced imaging technology machine will pick up: any anomaly outside of the body."

Still experts worry about the doctors among the terrorists' ranks and their willingness to kill. Al Qaeda's No. 2 is Ayman al-Zawahiri, an Egyptian doctor, and last year a Jordanian doctor known as "Abu Dujana al-Khorasani" killed seven CIA officers in a suicide bombing in Afghanistan.

"In the same way that drug smugglers have placed bags of narcotics in the body cavities of animals and had people ingest condoms filled with drugs, it would not be out of the realm of Al Qaeda operational planners to conceive of such a technique," said Mark Rossini, a former senior FBI counterterror agent. "No technique is off-limits to Al Qaeda to achieve its destructive goals."

Re: Is Using Racial Profiling Ever Justified?

The Muslim ideology says 126 times in the quam "convert or die." I
don't care how the muslim puke down the street explains that away,
Islam is an enemy. It wasn't 'profiling in WWII when you shot all
planes down that had a swastika on them or a red circle, it was war.
the muzzies know they can't beat us fighting us, so they are using our
own laws against us. The US needs to follow Italy's lead and declare
Islam "not a religion." www.dumbellnebula.com

Re: Obama was never concerned about tax cuts

You moron, (illegal) obama has spent more in his first year than Bush
did in 8. that is a fact.
Obama gave foreign banks billions in the middle of our crisis, another
fact.
There is 9 trillion missing, MISSING from the FED, on illegal obamas
watch. another fact.
All are available for viewing on you tube at congressional hearings,
but of course it is hard to see with colon polyps in your eyes.

It is difficult to distinguish fact from fiction when you are up to
your shoulders in your anus.

Re: War tax

Banks, be specific. The rich don't get rich from your debt, banks do.

Is Using Racial Profiling Ever Justified?

Is Using Racial Profiling Ever Justified?

In the politically correct world, the answer is no. However, there are times when racial profiling is necessary. Law enforcement agencies use it and hopefully the T.S.A. will start using it to stop real terrorists instead of patting down 90-year-old nuns and 3-year old children with autism.

The head of a taxi union is speaking out after the attack of another taxi-driver in New York. He has openly called for racial profiling in the attempt to protect New York taxi drivers from being assaulted or killed.

The NYPost reports:

The head of a city taxi-drivers union is urging hacks to use "racial profiling" when deciding whether to pick up passengers, after a Queens livery driver was shot by an apparently Hispanic gunman over the weekend.

The brutal attack was captured by the vehicle's security camera -- which yesterday led to a tip that helped cops ID a suspect, who has not yet been caught. He was not identified, but a source said he's 22, from Queens and has a sealed police record.

"Profile your passengers; it's very important," said Fernando Mateo, president of the New York State Federation of Taxi Drivers, after Saturday's shooting of Trevor Bell, 53, in South Ozone Park.

Mateo spoke at a press conference Saturday outside Jamaica Hospital, where Bell is in serious condition.

"I don't care about racial profiling. You know, sometimes it is good we are racially profiled, because the God's honest truth is that 99 percent of the people that are robbing, stealing, killing these drivers are blacks and Hispanics," said Mateo, who is Hispanic and has a black father.

"So if you see suspicious activity, you know what? Don't pick that person up."

The NYPD did not immediately respond to requests for racial statistics on livery-cab robberies.

But Mateo's comments drew immediate condemnation.

"Choosing which passengers to serve on the basis of race is illegal, downright wrong and simply unacceptable," said Taxi and Limousine Commissioner David Yassky.

City Councilman Charles Barron (D-Brooklyn) added that Mateo was "just talking foolish out of . . . desperation because he doesn't know what to do about a very serious issue."

The Rev. Al Sharpton called Mateo's remarks "absurd."

But Mateo told The Post, "I'm asking black and Hispanic people to profile their own, so how the hell can this be racist?

"It's our own committing these crimes against us. It's weeding out the criminal element."
