US troops in Mideast told to abide by sharia law during Ramadan

Didn't critics of anti-sharia laws, including Muslims, swear that sharia law only applies to Muslims? Religion of intolerance. If it ain't halal, they don't tolerate it. via Troops in Mideast given guidance on Ramadan - Middle East - Stripes. As Muslims prepare to observe the holy month of Ramadan with fasting and prayer, U.S. troops [...]

The supposedly controversial NASCAR prayer last weekend (I still don't understand what all the fuss was about) has been immortalized in song!

It's pretty awesome.   And, good luck getting it out of your head for the rest of the day:

Federal Courts are warned: At the House bill funding levels, courts would have to cut spending on salaries by the equivalent of about 5,000 court support staff, which might be accomplished through a combination of attrition, layoffs, furloughs, buyouts, and early outs. The Senate has not yet considered the Judiciary's appropriations bill for FY 2012.

Creepy New Technology Reveals Every Face in a Crowd

Creepy New Technology Reveals Every Face in a Crowd

We can no longer be faceless in a crowd. A new technology, Gigapixel Panorama Photography, now exposes every face in a crowd, no matter how large the crowd or how small the face.

If you go to this site, you'll see a photo of a huge crowd, numbering in the hundreds if not thousands, at the 2011 Stanley Cup Final in Vancouver. The pic was taken at 5:46 pm on June 15, 2011.

The human beings in the pic are so small that they look like ants. But if you do the following, they'll no longer be ants:

  • Put your cursor on any face or figure in the pic.
  • Double click.
  • You'll see an enlarged picture of the person in high resolution. If it's not big enough, just double-click again.

Imagine what the government can do with this technology. Big Brother is watching you!!!

Obama the Bore

Millions have become sick to death of the sight of this man, while wincing at the sound of his droning voice............not to mention reacting to his 100% un-American proposals and policies with disgust and contempt.

Obama the Bore
Abe Katzman, AmericanThinker.com

President Obama is going to lose his bid for re-election.  Not just because of the anemic recovery,  stubborn unemployment, runaway spending, staggering deficits,  lack of public faith in his ability as commander-in-chief, his hostility towards Israel's government, the rise of the Tea Party, or the Republican-favoring implications of redistricting on the electoral map.  Those are all factors, and the coming months will provide endless columns discussing each. (Of this I am sure, for I intend to write some of them.)

But there is a more fundamental reason he'll lose: Barack Obama, once perceived as extraordinary, now just seems extra-ordinary.   He has gotten politically boring.   And America does not re-elect boring presidents.

Obama isn't boring in the same conventional, square, policy-wonk manner of so many other politicians; he still acts cool, plays basketball, and parties with Hollywood's A-list.   But as a president he has become boring: he is tiresome, unpersuasive, divisive, repetitive, predictable, and cynical -- importantly, the opposite of everything advertised himself to be.

Somewhere along the way, the once-soaring speeches of The Great Orator degenerated into longwinded clichés delivered in a grating, repetitive cadence.   The electric smile morphed into a frequent scowl.  Inspiring messages have given way to blaming everyone else for the lack of success of his policies and scolding his subjects for not "stepping up their game."  His every word seems politically calculated rather than anchored by principle.  He's shown little ability to electrify, motivate, persuade or unify anyone-except his political opposition.  The country seems tired of him.

How un-motivating is Obama as President?  He speaks to an America at war and rouses no patriotism.  He addresses a military audience without so much as mentioning victory (a word to which he has a particular aversion).  He takes a major policy address on troop levels in Afghanistan and ends up droning on about "green jobs."  Boring.  If there is a single memorable line from his multitude of speeches, please tell me; I already stopped listening --and I doubt that I am alone.

Internationally, his tenure has been demeaning. His unique contributions to American foreign policy include "Leading from behind;" embracing a gutless philosophy of American Un-exceptionalism; serial apologizing for America; and subjecting America to well-deserved lectures on economic policy by our Communist Chinese financial overlords.  And it's not as if any of this has endeared America to the world; from the Thames to Tel Aviv to Taiwan to Turkey, alliances are frayed.  Is this anything for voters to be excited about?  What does Obama's America stand for, anyway?

Political cynicism may be expedient, but seeing it repeatedly is boring.  Being in favor of tax increases during a recession, before being against them, before being for them again is boring.  Advocating breathtaking spending increases as economic "stimulus" and then blaming others for the resulting ballooning deficits is boring.  Constant posturing is boring.  Constant excuses are boring.

What is surprising is that Obama's entire election was based on his uniquely un-boring image and ability to excite, motivate and inspire.  Young.  Hip.  Black.  Fresh.  Cool.  Confident.  Different.  Above-the-fray.  And he delivered motivating speeches with a religious rhythm that enraptured his listeners.

From the fainting fans at his rallies to the panting panelists on the Nobel committee, candidate Obama's rousing rhetoric tapped into something optimistic and hopeful, capturing the attention of the world.  It may have all been childishly utopian -- stopping the rise of the oceans, burnishing America's international popularity by sheer force of his personality, ushering in a post-partisan political era, -- but his magical message resonated.  Obama was all promise.

But something happened since the campaign.  Time passed.  Reality intruded.  The magic faded.  The promise was broken.  We got to know him.

As president, Obama is prickly and thin-skinned.  He is preachy and condescending.  He is self-absorbed, self-pitying, self-absolving, self-crediting, and self-aggrandizing.  Watching him is more depressing than uplifting.  He is exactly what he promised not to be: just like any other ordinary, boring politician.

Oh, fawning media still serve as Obama's enablers, singing his praises no matter how poorly he performs.  But voters -- especially the young -- are fickle, if not always discerning.  One of the hazards of being elected as a "rock star" president is that whoever is momentarily "hot" is unlikely to remain so four years later.  Perhaps Obama is the Menudo President, the Britney Spears of politics.  And America has outgrown its infatuation.

Presidents Ford, Carter, and George H.W. Bush have two things in common: they were dull; and they were defeated in re-election bids.  And Presidents Reagan, Clinton and George W. Bush?   One may argue about their policies or legacies, but they certainly weren't boring; and they were all re-elected.

In general, the more boring candidate loses; Ford, Carter, Mondale, Dukakis, Bush (father), Dole, Gore, Kerry...the names alone make my eyes droop almost as fast as listening to yet another Obama Major Policy Address.

A dull, uninspiring candidate may get elected once, especially if facing an even more boring opponent -- note Carter over Ford or Bush over Dukakis.  But re-election?  Not in this generation.

When a messianic figure is revealed to be all too ordinary, it is impossible for even the best political consultants to restore the original image.  Think of the scene in "The Wizard of Oz" when the unmasked "wizard" bellows, "Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!"   The curtain has been pulled back on Obama, and we see that he is no wizard.   As a mere mortal, how can he re-create the magic spell of 2008?

It's not as if no one will vote for him.  Obama still owns key constituencies: blacks, unions and, most importantly, the media.  But there's a difference between getting votes, and getting out the vote: it is the difference between losing and winning.  And it will be difficult to get out the vote this time around for someone as ordinary -- as boring -- as Barack Obama.

Abe Katsman is an American attorney living in Jerusalem.  He serves as Counsel to Republicans Abroad Israel.

**JP** Mian sahib.. Please let it go

Message body

Message body

Mian Nawaz Sahrif once a most popular leader of this country has lost all his popularity because he has only one point agenda to criticize and demand punishment for Pervez Musharraf and nothing else. Yesterday he was elected as president of his faction of Muslim league and the first resolution passed by the general council was against pervez musharraf. Pervez Musharraf is now history and he has already been punished by almighty Allah that he is now unable to come back to Pakistan which he was ruling arbitrarily for nine years. People of Pakistan have no concern with hanging of dictators because they are suffering due to many issues concerning to their survival and every day is getting crucial for average citizen of this country. We have a lot of problems and we know that present government has badly failed to meet the expectations of the public. I myself was a big supporter of Mian sahib in last elections but I could not find him with public in last three years which surely disappointed me along with the masses who were considering him as an alternate leadership. Now if he appears on surface for the coming elections, as our leadership usually does I doubt he will be getting the same  response as we all were expecting some two three years back.
The biggest crisis the nation is facing this time is the crisis of leadership. Unfortunately the nation has no sincere guiding leadership. Whatsoever we have is either not competent or lack sincerity or mostly confined to their personal interests. There is no leadership available to be trusted. Educated Pakistanis do not cast their votes and 35 percent illiterate voters select leadership for this country while the people who does not ote than criticize the government. Zardari led government has shown very  good results in Kashmir and in bye elections which were because of Nawaz Sharif who has the same stereo type demand to hang musharraf during the election campaign in Kashmir with 600 police security personnels of Punjab police with him. Mian Sahib. Let it go now please.Forget Pervez Musharraf and remember the people who have expectations from you. People want from leadership solution of their problems. People want programe from  their leaders in current law and order situation unemployment, load shedding increasing price hikes and provision of basic rights. Mian sahib has left with very short time either to become the public voice or to face the music. Zardari has proved himself a good leader and that he knows best tactices of politics by knocking out all political leadership in the name of reconciliation and peacefully completing his three years in Presidency with all allegations on his person. He is now even daring for head on collusion by defying the Supreme Court orders to take revenge from Judicary for all that humiliation which he faced in during long March forcing him restoration of judiciary. I doubt He may succeed in next elections if Mian Sahib do not start his politics and do not revive his contacts with the public.
It is my personal opinion based on my feelings as Pakistani and i would like comments of friends.

**JP** {Tibb-e-Nabawi} Spinal Surgery

Spinal Surgery is a sensitive issue, & most of the patients get their problems back within few months OR years. We have seen a lot of people who needed Hijamah even after the surgery, so taking a risk for getting your Spine operated is not advisable.

With Hijamah, we have seen 90 ~ 95 % recovery of lower back pain issues, Cervical Spondylosis (neck pain), pain between the shoulders (KAHIL area), frozen shoulder, and even for Sciatica (problems in Lumbar region), pains disappear immediately for some individuals, and for others, they go periodically with multiple Hijamah sessions.

A general complication of back surgery can include spinal cord or nerve damage. This can lead to numbness, impotence, pain, paralysis and loss of muscle, bladder or bowel control. After surgery for a slipped disc, about one in 10 people will have another slipped disc and need further treatment. Or, if you have an implant fitted, the screws or implants in your back may come loose and you will need further surgery.

Your surgeon may use open or keyhole surgery. Open surgery involves making a single, large cut on your back. Keyhole surgery involves making several small cuts on your back and special instruments to do the operation.

Exactly how your surgery is carried out will depend on the type you are having.

  • Discectomy - your surgeon will remove one or more of your discs through a small cut in your back. Part of the bony coverings of your spine (lamina) may also be removed, with a section of ligament.
  • Spinal disc replacement - this procedure aims to restore disc height and movement between your vertebrae. Your surgeon will remove the affected discs and replace them with artificial ones.
  • Laminectomy - your surgeon will remove the lamina and shave back any thickened ligaments, joints and bone spurs (overgrowths of bone). This will widen your spinal canal and relieve pressure that has built up around your spinal nerves.
  • Foraminotomy - your surgeon will carry out a keyhole procedure to widen your foramina (the bony holes through which spinal nerves branch off from your spinal cord) and reduce pressure on your spinal nerves.
  • Vertebroplasty - your surgeon will make a small cut on your back and using X-rays as guidance will slowly inject a cement-like mixture into your vertebrae to stabilise your spine.
  • Spinal fusion - your surgeon will join two or more of your vertebrae together using a bone graft and a special metal scaffolding made of screws, rods or plates.

They can't understand how quickly the LIPIDS can decrease in such a short time & without any medicine.

You are so strict for Tibb-e-Nabawi diet, even more than me, I can't hold myself so tight, so you are my boss now.

Your case history has been updated at www.tibbenabwi.com, you may check Lipids, ALT/GPT with Hijamah. And after sending your reports to many of my friends, I have received a lot of phone calls & many people are ready to take Hijamah.

And don't get worried for your low HDL, when it exists LOW with high ratio of other lipids, it is a RISK, but your case is different now, your Total Cholesterol & Triglycerides are back to pavilion & they will give a chance to your HDL for a higher score Insha'Allah.

Try to eat Camel's meat more than other animal proteins, mutton & fish are also good, but avoid chicken, most of them are mechanically slaughtered & they are doubtful.

Dear Shami Sb, Walikumasslam,

Thank you for your kind response. Alhamdulillah I am satisfied with my reports.  No doubt credit goes to you and Bhai Hamza for the efforts and cooperation extended for last couple of months.

Yes. My Doctor was surprised because he was not expecting this significant improvements. Zeeshan Sahib, Hamza Sahib, Assalam O Alaikum,

You can't imagine the happiness that has filled my heart after reading your reports, and first of all, our thanks & gratitude goes to Bhai Hamza Ali, our ONLY TRUST for Hijamah in U.A.E. His hands were blessed because the Shifa entered his hands first & then transferred to your blood, ohhhhh Masha'Allah; what a handsome Lipid profile you have now, total Cholesterol dropping down by 38 %, Triglycerides surprisingly quenched down by 69 %, & your ALT / GPT lowered by 54 %, Alhamdolillah. Just tell me, was your Doctor surprised ?

Kia faida aisi Army ka jo apne mafad ki khatir marshallah nafiz karti hey magar jab qom/awam ko zaroorat hoti hey to khamosh tamashai banjati hey and awam ko marne deti hey, is waqt tamam currupt log hakoomat may hain and woh mulq & qoam ki dolat ko loot rahe hain, kia jis tarha Butto ko phansi di the istarha in tamam logon ko aik sath arrest kar ke  inse looti hoi dolat wapis nahi lesakti and kia in zalimon ko phansi nahi desakti ? Agar nahi to lanat hey aisi army per jo in ghareeb awam ki mehnat and khoon pasine ki kamai se apne ikhrajat pure karti hey and murdar army ki tarha sir tamashai bani hoi hey and mulq ke andar and bahir ke logon ko masoom awam ka qatle aam karne de rahi hey.
