Lib-tard Cartoon of the Week

I was going to title this "Friday Funnies", but that is  Hardnox's gig.

I know actors get paid to recite lines, but even if they are libtards, how could they say these with a straight face?

But we all know, when it comes to 'sheeple' all you have to do is throw it out there, and they will catch it and run.

Try not to choke on your coffee as you watch this !

A pirate walked into a bar and the bartender said, 'Hey, I haven't seen you in a while. What happened? You look terrible.'

'What do you mean?' said the pirate, 'I feel fine.'

Bartender, 'What about the wooden leg? You didn't have that before.'

Pirate, 'Well, we were in a battle and I got hit with a cannon ball, but I'm fine now.'

Bartender, 'Well, OK, but what about that hook? What happened to your hand?'

Pirate, 'We were in another battle. I boarded a ship and got into a sword fight. My hand was cut off. I got fitted with a hook.   I'm fine, really.'

' Bartender 'What about that eye patch?'

Pirate, 'Oh, one day we were at sea and a flock of birds flew over. I looked up and one of them shit in my eye.'

'You're kidding,' said the bartender, 'you lost an eye just from bird shit.'

Pirate, 'It was my first day with the hook.'

A lawyer boarded an airplane in New Orleans, with a box of frozen crabs, and asked a blonde stewardess to take care of them for him.

She took the box and promised to put it in the crew's refrigerator.

He advised her that he was holding her personally responsible for them staying frozen, mentioning in a very haughty manner that he was a lawyer, and proceeded to rant at her about what would happen if she let them thaw out.

Needless to say, she was annoyed by his behavior.

Shortly before landing in New York, she used the intercom to announce to the entire cabin, "Would the lawyer who gave me the crabs in New Orleans, please raise your hand?"

Not one hand went up ... so she took them home and ate them.

Two lessons here:

1. Lawyers aren't as smart as they think they are.

2. Blondes aren't as dumb as most folk think.

Today I had to run to  our local food store.  As I approached the entrance, I noticed a driver looking for a parking space.

I flagged the driver and pointed out a parking space in the handicap area.  The driver looked puzzled. ''I'm not handicapped'' she said.  Well, was my face red.

''Oh, sorry about that, I saw your Obama sticker and just presumed...''

She gave me the finger and called me some nasty names.

Sheesh!  Some people... and you're just trying to help them.

~

Feel free to add your own.

Have a great Friday.

Re: OBAMA CAMPAIGN COMES OUT SWINGING AGAINST NAVY SEALS

The story starts out OK... but it veers left when speaking to the
point made by the Seals... that after the raid delicate and secret
info about methods, equipment and tactics were released that could
cost lives in future operations.

Fwd: [I-S] Is Obama a Ventriloquist Dummy? "No he's just a Dummy!"

---

August 17, 2012

Is Obama a Ventriloquist Dummy?

Ed Lasky

For years, some people have ridiculed Barack Obama's reliance on the teleprompter. The Presidential teleprompter even has its own blog. Critics have alluded that perhaps the world's greatest orator is not adept on his feet. Certainly, recent evidence of this idea can be found in his reluctance to hold press conferences or interviews (except, recently, in such high-brow outfits as People magazine and Entertainment Tonight). Certainly, when he is off on his own we see his true thoughts (people are "lazy," small town people are "bitter clingers," "you didn't built that") and his true agenda ("spread the wealth," "shared prosperity," "flexibility" when he does not have to think about reelection).

But there may be more to the reliance on the "telly" than is usually assumed.

What if, literally, Barack Obama does not even really know what is in the speeches when he gives them?

I was reminded recently of a series of emails that were uncovered that dealt with the efforts by the White House to get the drug industry to promote ObamaCare. The Democrats ended up working closely with the drug companies to get them to spend money and devote their other resources behind the push to pass ObamaCare. The Democrats cut deals with the industry. But at one point in the negotiations Barack Obama delivered one of his demagogic speeches and attacked the drug industry.

Tim Carney wrote in the Washington Examiner:

"I understand that some will try to delay action until the special interests can kill it," President Obama intoned in a July 21, 2009, Rose Garden speech. Later Obama got a bit more specific about these bad guys: "They would maintain a system that works for the insurance and the drug companies, while becoming increasingly unaffordable for families and for businesses."

But at the time, the drug industry was on board with Obama's health-care "reform." Industry lobbyists had cut a deal with the White House, some new details of which my colleague Phil Klein reports today, and had pledged millions to support not only the bill, but lawmakers who voted for it.

So, when Obama fired that salvo at the drug industry, drug lobbyists were pissed.

"We're trying to kill it?" Republican Pfizer lobbyist Anthony Principi asked in an email to his industry colleagues. "I guess we didn't give enough in contributions and media ads supporting hcr [health-care reform]."

Bryant Hall, the senior lobbyist at the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America, the industry's main lobby, wrote back to assure the group of drugmaker lobbyists that Obama didn't mean it.

"Billy and I were at WH today," Hall wrote, referring to PhRMA President Billy Tauzin. "We raised this issue with Jim Messina. Jim said that he went into the Oval [Office] and talked to the President .... 'Why was this in the sppech [sic]?' Obama said 'I was wondering the same.' Attributed to young speechwriter."

So not only was Barack Obama out of the loop and lost at sea regarding the most significant legislation passed during his first term, he did not even bother to review what he was about to say when he gave his speech.

No proofreading? No practice? No knowledge of what was going on? No concern other than to be a mouthpiece for other peoples' plans and words? In other words, a ventriloquist dummy.

Sounds about right for the President.

OBAMA CAMPAIGN COMES OUT SWINGING AGAINST SEALS… NAVY SEALS

By Clash Daily / 16 August 2012 /

TheAtlanticWire- Politically speaking, Navy SEALs aren't the safest targets to rail against in a presidential race, but the Obama campaign isn't hesitating to take down a group of former SEALs who've criticized the president's national security decisions.

On Thursday morning, campaign officials waged a full court press against the Special Operations OPSEC Education Fund, a group of former U.S. Special Forces and intelligence officials accusing President Obama of leaking vital national security secrets and taking too much credit for the killing of Osama bin Laden. When the group launched its anti-Obama media campaign Wednesday, consisting of TV ads and a 22-minute film, it wasn't clear if Obama officials would avoid a potentially messy confrontation or refute the military veterans publicly. But now the campaign has made clear it views the attacks in the same light as the 2004 John Kerry "Swift Boat" attack ads, which, however misleading, were painfully effective.

"The Republicans are resorting to 'Swift Boat' tactics because when it comes to foreign policy and national security, Mitt Romney has offered nothing but reckless rhetoric," Obama campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt told Reuters' Mark Hosenball last night. Taking a direct shot at the leaders of OPSEC, an Obama campaign official lambasted the group's accusations about national security leaks this morning. "No one in this group is in a position to speak with any authority on these issues and on what impact these leaks might have," said the official, speaking on background, "and it's clear they've resorted to making things up for purely political reasons."

Obama Edits Official State Department Documents to Tout Himself

Obama Edits Official State Department Documents to Tout Himself

by Scotty Starnes

Fucking narcissist and typical liberal. Liberals love revisionist history and use it to hide the truth. See your child's history book for proof.

From Morning Bell:

Inserting himself into the biographies of past presidents on the White House website apparently wasn't enough for President Obama. His State Department is now editing its descriptions of foreign countries into yet another taxpayer-subsidized campaign commercial for the Obama Administration.

The State Department has recently ended its long-running series of Background Notes, which were analytical, objective histories of other countries. In their place, new "Fact Sheets" now tout Obama's policies and actions toward each nation. No more historical context, no recounting of complex and long-standing issues in the country. Just cut to the chase—that is, the time when the current Administration came to power.

Heritage's Jim Roberts, one of the editors of Heritage's Index of Economic Freedom, was struck by the disproportionate change in emphasis while doing some research recently.  Roberts, who worked at the State Department from 1982 to 2007 and used to write these country profiles, said he had never seen edits like these under either previous Republican or Democratic Administrations.

Roberts noted that "They seem to be not 'fact sheets' but brag sheets," adding that the edits appear to treat countries more favorably when the Obama Administration agrees with their leaders.

Roberts is in the process of examining the differences between the historical Background Notes and the new, Obama-centric Fact Sheets. He reveals:

Compare the nearly 1,200-word "Fact Sheet" published this week by the U.S. embassy in Brazil with the last Background Note on Brazil written during the George W. Bush Administration.

The 4,100-word Bush document, chock full of facts and figures helpful in analyzing the country and its importance to the U.S., never once mentions the name of any U.S. President. The 300-word section on U.S.–Brazil relations takes up about 7 percent of the document.

Conversely, fully 70 percent (830 words) of the Brazil Fact Sheet, which is focused exclusively on U.S. relations with Brazil, discusses President Obama either directly by name (twice!) or in the context of the plethora of programs his Administration has launched with Brazil, including a shared "commitment to combat discrimination based on race, gender, ethnicity, or lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) status; to advance gender equality; a bilateral instrument that targets racism; support for HIV/AIDS prevention, promotion of clean energy technologies in Brazil, and mitigation of climate change."

Thus far, Roberts has not found a comprehensive explanation for the debut of the Fact Sheets. The State Department's website simply says, "As of May 2012, Background Notes are no longer being updated or produced. They are in the process of being replaced by Fact Sheets that focus on U.S. relations with each country."

OBAMA CAMPAIGN COMES OUT SWINGING AGAINST NAVY SEALS

Apparently, the administration has decided this is a battle worth fighting, a calculation that has its own risks and potential payoffs. On one hand, it's not clear that elevating the discussion over who deserves credit for the bin Laden mission is valuable to the administration. As a May 2011 USAToday/Gallup poll showed, Americans overwhelmingly credit the U.S. military and the CIA for the mission over the president. "The U.S. military and the CIA emerge as the big winners in the public's eyes," wrote Gallup's Frank Newport. "Nearly 9 of 10 (89%) say the military deserves 'a great deal of credit,' while 62% say the same about the CIA."

At the same time, it's possible that OPSEC's message could gain traction and hurt the Obama campaign, which would make it worth refuting. As we noted yesterday, rebutting the ad shouldn't be hard to do. "Mr. President, you did not kill Osama bin Laden, America did," intones the OPSEC film. It's pretty obvious to most Americans that the president didn't personally kill Al Qaeda's number one leader, even though he did authorize the mission. Also, there are numerous examples of the president giving credit to the Navy SEALs and other national security officials like this quotation given on the night the raid was announced:

Tonight, we give thanks to the countless intelligence and counterterrorism professionals who've worked tirelessly to achieve this outcome. The American people do not see their work, nor know their names. But tonight, they feel the satisfaction of their work and the result of their pursuit of justice. We give

thanks for the men who carried out this operation, for they exemplify the professionalism, patriotism, and unparalleled courage of those who serve our country.

Additionally, as The Los Angeles Times' Ken Dilanian notes today, a number of OPSEC leaders identify as Republicans, such as Fred Rustmann, who worked for the CIA for 23 years before retiring in 1990, Scott Taylor, a former Navy SEAL and chairman of OPSEC, and Chad Kolton, an OPSEC member and former flack in the Bush administration. At this point, the effectiveness of the OPSEC attacks rely almost exclusively on the identity of who's leveling the attacks (former Navy SEALs) rather than the merit of the attacks. Still, the jury's out on whether it's a fight worth picking for the Obama campaign.
