I suggest you take a good look at the 14th Amendment again, and at the
recent court rulings on DOMA and Prop 8, and you will see that you are
incorrect.

Civil marriage is not Religious marriage, and I suggest you get that
simple concept through your thick offensive anti-gay animus filled
homophobic skull.

As long as the government codifies civil marriage, all citizens must
be included in those laws equally regardless of gender. Anything less
is unconstitutional, discriminatory, and unjust. Churches are then
free to bless those civil marriages or not as they choose. There are
plenty of Progressive churches that will.
