Democrats Buying Out Nike, New Balance and the Rest

Snidely Whiplash

Does the name "Nancy Pelosi" translate to cancer in the ears of Congressional Democrats? Is she contagious? Pig flu? Whatever it is, Democrats are running from her like she's infested with the Plague. Of course for all non-Democrats, we knew she was toxic from the get go, but seems now even her sycophant House minions are seeing the handwriting on the wall.

If progressivism is so wonderful and everyone is so in favor of the Obama/Reid/Pelosi agenda, why are they running from her and Obama as if they were on fire? I confess I sit and snicker at all this foolishness. For the record, way back when Obama was anointed, all we heard was the wave of progressivism sweeping the nation. And me and mine told them "no" in no uncertain terms, that they were hopeful and wrong. But they knew better and rubbed our noses in it as if they had won. Turns out they did not win, and me and mine told everyone that back then. I will confess to a certain smug satisfaction in all this.

I didn't like being told progressives were going to "return us to our Founding principles." Having studied progressivism in college, I knew their platform was nothing like they publicly swore it was. Long before Glenn Beck was educating the public I knew who these folks were and their desires. Not trying to say I am all that, but I do not much care for someone to piss up my back and tell me it's raining. I don't much like being told I will be "dragged kicking and screaming" anywhere, and dared some of them to show up and commence to dragging, but they were all fat mouths and narrow asses, for but for lies and obfuscations, they could not drag anyone, anywhere.

Instead I would have preferred a debate, or at least an honest exchange of ideas but progressives were having none of that. For the record progressives have always felt the public has too many choices and that left up to the individual, they might not make the best choice for the good of the collective. Keeping in mind progressivism is a kinder, gentler name for Marxism, or at least the dead cert application of many of good ol' Karl's positions, well it's rather easy to see why they will not honestly admit their end game.
