Re: GOP Honors Ron Paul;

As a side note,  I watched the vote count on CSPN, and no one's microphone was cancelled out during the roll call.  All of the Ron Paul votes were in fact counted!  No mikes were turned off.....(Albeit the Georgia mike was cut off by accident, and then re-read with an open mike so the Chairman could record the vote)

Hello Bruce & Michael!

First, as I have stated previously, I don't like the tactics that were used,  and I don't like the heavy handedness of (as I have coined it)  the, "North-East Corridor/Blueblood/Rockefellerian/Elitist"  RINOs at this year's RNC.

Having said that,  I disagree with Michael's presumption that Dr. Paul's supporters disagree with A, B, C, D, E and F.....There's just not that much difference between Paul's positions on domestic policy,  as compared to the GOP platform;  and to date,  I dare say that there is not "significant"  difference in foreign policy.   With regard to fiscal policy,  I would say that Dr. Paul's and the GOP's/Romney's fiscal policies are, "spot on".   Dr. Paul has a lot to do with shaping most all of the former Republican Party candidates,  I will admit as much.   I still believe that Paul will be tapped to be the Secretary of Tresury when Romney wins.

Having said the above,  the only reason that the Paul supporters that I showed in my initial message in this thread came to Tampa, was for a Floor Fight at the RNC.....The only purpose for a Floor Fight, was with the mistaken belief that they would somehow obtain the RNC Nomination for Dr. Paul, and again, this was not the place....It was not the time,  and the whole point and participation by these misguided Paulites was misguided.

I blame Dr. Paul.....He should have encouraged his delegates to have supported Romney.

As Michael posted earlier today,  (or was it yesterday?) Gary North, who bills himself as Ron Pauls's "Original Staff Economist" wrote something similar to my overall thoughts here:

"Ron Paul's followers will go home furious. They will burrow into local Republican organizations and take them over. It will take a decade. ...So what? Ron Paul's supporters are young. The Establishment is old. Paul's people will bide their time. When the Great Default hits, they will be ready."

As I have said previously,  I actually hope that North is correct. The GOP needs new "Conservative-Libertarian" blood.....

Finally, in closing,  I leave you with a list created by a "disgruntled Paulite"  who attended the RNC here in Tampa, of purported "Cheating Tactics"  that was utilized by the RNC in order to as Bruce just put it, Strip Dr. Paul of his name being put forth for nomination":

1. Illegally removed duly elected Maine delegates and replaced them with Romney "scab" delegates.

  2. Stole delegates from Louisiana, Oklahoma and Massachusetts because they would not vote Romney.

  3. Indefinitely detained Ron Paul delegates on buses using armed guards to delay and prevent them from voting on rules in the convention.

  4. Indefinitely detained Morton Blackwell on a bus preventing him from filing a minority report opposing new oppressive rule changes.

  5. Drove Virginia rules committee chairmen in circles around the convention center to prevent them from voting on rules thus allowing the RNC to vote in their stead.

  6. Refused to acknowledge nomination papers from six states where a five state minimum was required

  7. Changed rules on the spot from five state minimum to eight state minimum when they realized Ron Paul would be nominated

  8. Denied Ron Paul a floor speech prior to the vote unless it endorsed Romney.

  9. Declared unbound Ron Paul supporters as bound votes for Romney

  10. Boehner ignored clear opposition to the rules vote that would prevent a Maine delegation from being seated.

  11. Turned off microphones in the Ron Paul delegate section to prevent "division" or "point of order" calls from being heard even after 10 minutes of booing in protest.

  12. Seated Ron Paul delegates in the nose bleed section to prevent them from being heard BEHIND territory delegates.

  13. Passed rules allowing the RNC committee to choose and approve delegates rather than the states.
14. Refused video equipment in the convention center to allow undocumented cheating.

  15. Ron Paul delegates were not allowed to bring signs, but Romney supporters were. I brought a sign and was almost ejected from the Forum.

  16. Cut off microphones anytime delegates cheered for Ron Paul

  17. Called out votes for Romney as Romney votes, but never called out Ron Paul.

  18. When Ron Paul won the majority of delegates in Iowa ,Nevada and Minnesota, they only called out the few minority votes for Romney.

Here is a revised list that I think more accurately describes what in fact happened,  (and I give credit to Jonathan Willard for creating this "revised" list) :

1. Attempted to used poitical shenanigans to remove Maine delegates who were put in place by Paulbots using political shenanigans.

 2. Attempted to force delegates to vote the will of the people, not the will of Ron Paul.

 3. Rightfully prevented psychotic Paultbots who just cant get over the fact that America doesn't want what Paul is selling from disrupting the RNC.

 4. Prevented Morton Blackwell from throwing a temper tantrum on the RNC floor and wasting everyones time because his messiah didn't win the primary.

 5. Prevented Virginia rules committee chairmen from throwing a temper tantrum on the floor and wasting everyones time.

 6. Refused to acknowledge nomination papers created by Paulbots via political shenanigans from coming to a vote.

 7. Changed rules on the spot from five state minimum to eight state minimum, maniupulating the rules in the same way Paulbots did to get the 5 state minum when they realized Ron Paul would be nominated despite the will of the people.

 8. Denied Ron Paul a floor speech prior to the vote unless it endorsed Romney rightfully because this is the RNC not the Ron Paul National Convention.

 9. Declared unbound Ron Paul supporters as bound votes for Romney rightfully in support of the will of the people.

 10. Boehner ignored clear opposition to the rules vote that would prevent a Maine delegation from being seated thankfully, avoiding wasting everyones time.

 11. Turned off microphones in the Ron Paul delegate section to prevent "division" or "point of order" calls from being heard even after 10 minutes of crying, whining, and temper tantrums by Paulbots who just can't accept reality.

 12. Seated Ron Paul delegates in the nose bleed section to prevent them from being heard BEHIND territory delegates since they were annoying all the adults in the RNC.

 13. Passed rules allowing the RNC committee to choose and approve delegates rather than Paulbots trying to steal the nomination against the will of the people.

 14. Refused video equipment in the convention center to allow Paulbots to create propaganda using heavily edited and context free clips like they do with all of Ron Pauls BS.

 15. Ron Paul delegates were not allowed to bring signs because they couldn't behave like adults, but Romney supporters were because they could. I brought a sign and was almost ejected from the Forum. (Too bad they missed you.)

 16. Cut off microphones anytime delegates cheered for Ron Paul because they were disruptive, childish, crybabies who can not deal with reality.

 17. Called out votes for Romney as Romney votes, but never called out Ron Paul so as to rile up the children.

 18. When Ron Paul attempted political shenanigans to circumvent the will of the people and steal the majority of delegates in Iowa ,Nevada and Minnesota, they only called out the few minority votes for Romney that Ron Paul wasn't able to steal through political bullshit.
