| | Dear Bruce, This week, I was proud to stand with 53 other Republicans opposing a continuing resolution that did not include language defunding Obamacare. In the past weeks, over 150,000 of you have stood with me in disgust to the intentionally deceptive inclusion of $105 billion in funding to the Obamacare bill. Because of you, my colleagues and I have delivered, with our votes, a bold message to Congress and the American people: defunding Obamacare is our number one priority, and we will not vote for any additional spending until it is accomplished. Yesterday, I posted a video to my Facebook page with detailed updates on our fight. You can view it by visiting this link. As I travel around our nation speaking with Americans from all walks, I continue to hear the voice of the American people growing louder, dissastisfied with our government and demanding a rapid departure from the radical policies of Barack Obama. This Thursday from 5-6 PM Central, I'll be holding my first ever town-hall meeting on Facebook, live from Iowa, where I hope we can have a conversation about what we as Constitutional conservatives can do about these important issues. I hope that you'll login, bring your friends, and participate by sending questions via text message, Facebook, or by sending a link to a question on YouTube to video@michelebachmann.com. I hope you will find the news links I've shared below both informative and timely, and that you'll share them with your friends and family, as well as respond to them on my Facebook page. Thank you for your continued support. Sincerely, Michele Bachman Links from this week: Rasmussen Reports, March 14: "62% Favor Repeal of Health Care Law" "Support for repeal of the national health care law has reached its highest level since May of last year. The number of voters who believe the plan will increase the cost of care has tied its highest level since the law's passage last March." Reuters, March 15: "Bachmann is tops in GOP "intensity"" "House Tea Party darling Michele Bachmann may not rate highly with Republican hierophants like George Will. But some Republicans seem to have an intense liking for her none the less, according to a new Gallup poll." CBS News, March 15: "GOP targets Wall Street reform, says it's hindering job growth" "Republicans in the House will take their first look this week at a series of bills that would roll back certain elements of the Democrats' Wall Street reforms, claiming the new legislation is needed to help spur job growth." Minnesota Public Radio, March 14: "Bachmann charms New Hampshire GOP" "Like Republicans across the country, most of the GOP faithful in New Hampshire have heard of Bachmann, but last weekend was the first time they got a chance at an up close look. And most said they liked what they saw." Paid for by Bachmann for Congress P.O. Box 25950 | Woodbury, MN 55125 | | | | |
