KeithInTampa, this is what winning in November looks like two months out. The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) is pulling its resources out of New Mexico, which until recently was considered a toss-up race by election forecasters. Further, the NRSC is shifting the $3 million it had reserved for New Mexico to North Dakota, which until recently was a Senate race Republicans thought they could take for granted. By essentially conceding what was supposed to be a toss-up race in order to hang on to what was supposed to be a safe one, Republicans are admitting they are losing the battle for the Senate. This makes it clear Democrats can not only defend the Senate, but that progressives can upgrade the Senate with candidates like Elizabeth Warren in Massachusetts, Chris Murphy in Connecticut, Mazie Hirono in Hawaii, Martin Heinrich in New Mexico, and Tammy Baldwin in Wisconsin. At Daily Kos, we've made it easy to support upgrading the Senate by putting all five of these excellent candidates on a single Act Blue page.
