We should keep in mind that capacity is not the issue, the real issue is circular debt. Government have no money to bail out and come out of the situation. We are trapped in a viscious circle due to intenntionally defective ágreements with private power companies. According to ágreements, If thet operate on 70% capacity, they get Max. Profit. Why they run on 100 %? Secondly, government have to pay them at certain threshold level even If ít do not purchase single unit. Thirdly, the price to be paid to private companies according to agreement, is more than double what neibouring countries are paying.
The issue is therefore malafied intention and result of past corruption that lead to defective agreements. Now we should gear up government machinery to conserve energy which have potential of 25%. This can be done through bringing legislation making waste of energy "a crime", mandatory energy auudits, introducing modern energy control devices. This could be supplemented by announcing naional solar energy use policy by adopting Germany model, where government gave. subsidy and offer soft loans to general public to buy solar panels. Public can use solar energy ang surplus is fed in the system. Meter installed slow down or even run reverse dependiñg upon power consumed.
We should encourage investors to replace street lights with LEDs. Promote micro hydel.............to do that need honest and capable leadership not the corrupts and lip servers!

1) TILL TODAY SOLAR ENERGY SYSTEM IS VERY EXPENSIVE i.e Presently tyhe
project costs 12 USD to 15 USD per KW & You are talking about 25,000 MW Solar
POWER. WE DO NOT HAVE SUCH HUGE FUNDS.
2) Other issue is Power Transmission lines & National GRID System, Which is OBSELETE & CAN NOT UP LOAD / CARRY SUCH HUGE PRODUCED SOLAR POWER, So to make the Produced Solar POWWER Effective, PAKISTAN needs to Install New High Power Transmission Lines, through our Pakistan / Punjab & New Grid Stations, to Distribute Solar Power Successfully, Which AGAIN COSTS BILLIONS OF USD & Need at least 7 to 10 Years.
However, I have Really workable, Reliable & Cost Effective SOLAR POWER SOLUTION,
- which is available Readily at 6.0 USD per KW ( instead of 12 to 15 USd per KW as above).
- Up to 50MW Stand alone Solar Systems can be made available, to install near Existing Grid Stations ( where 10 Acre Land available near to Grid Station.)
- Produced 50 MW Solar Can be easily UP-Loaded on Existing Transmission lines from said Grid Station, to Distribute Solar Power, with-in said GRID Station Territory.
- Solar Power Distribution with-in said Grid station territory, LINE Losses & Power Losses, will also be quite less.
