April 20th – GLSEN Day of Silence

by sage_brush

GLSEN - or Gay, Lesbian, Straight, Education Network has a scheduled "Day of Silence," this coming Friday.  If you have children in K-12 government school, they may be participating in this without your knowledge.

From AFTAH (Americans for Truth About Homosexuality) -

Higgins guides parents on how to pull child from activist schools on Friday, April 20th

Barb Anderson of the Parents Action League.

This is Part One of our interview [click HERE] with Barb Anderson of the Minneapolis-based Parents Action League and Laurie Higgins of Illinois Family Institute. (This pre-recorded interview aired April 14, 2012.) The discussion centers on the upcoming, annual homosexual activist event in schools known as the "Day of Silence" (this Friday, April 20th). Higgins urges a "walkout" of the Day of Silence and guides parents on the proper questions to ask when calling their child's school. For more information on the Day of Silence Walkout (endorsed by Americans For Truth and other pro-family groups), go HERE. Each child pulled from a school that is encouraging this pro-homosexual event — which disrupts the learning of non-participating students — costs the school money because school funds are allocated based on attendance.

"Consider this:  if a child is convinced that all morality is relative, what is the likely effect of the message given by educators and curricula that the moral instruction of  his parents and church should be disregarded?

"At its 2001 national convention, the NEA was poised to adopt a resolution known as 'New B.'  In effect, New B asked schools to promote homosexuality by using pro-homosexual curricula in kindergarten though 12th grade, hiring homosexual teachers, working with homosexual activist organizations in the development and promotion of 'gay friendly' curricula, and encouraging homosexual teachers to bring their sexual identity into classrooms so that they can be 'role models.'"  Bruce N. Shortt, The Harsh Truth About Public Schools, pp. 91-93

Although 'New B' was not passed - it has been implemented piecemeal in a dozen different resolutions.  {Eagle Forum 2001}

In the above video, you see young people discussing something casually, that 30 years ago would have caused intense embarrassment.  I encourage you to watch it again, this time noting that what comes out of their mouths, is not their own thoughts and opinions.  The very same words,  rhythm of speech, and emotional intensity  is the same in each one. with only slight variation.     It has been absorbed through desensitizing and conditioning.

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Proverbs 22:6
