Re: Why Didn’t We Reform Smallpox Instead of Eradi cating It?

I was talking to my landlord (a Republitard) who said; "If Warren
Buffet is so concerned about his secretary paying more taxes than he
does as a percentage; then why doesn't Buffet pay the difference"?

I answered: "because that would be shifting the burden from other rich
people who wouldn't pay, while naively Buffet did".

What 'burden' is that?
Why should one Individual pay more or less than another for the monopoly 'service' government?

"If the government can take a man's money without his consent, there is no limit to the additional tyranny it may practise upon him; for, with his money, it can hire soldiers to stand over him, keep him in subjection, plunder him at discretion, and kill him if he resists." -- Lysander Spooner
