Psst... Wanna Make a Quick & Easy $5,000?

Psst... Wanna Make a Quick & Easy $5,000?

This is a public service announcement:

We've all seen the online image of that announcement in the Honolulu Advertiser, by "Mr. and Mrs. Barack Obama" of the birth of their son on August 4, 1961.

But, just like Barack Obama Jr.'s birth certificate, no one actually has seen the actual newspaper.

Are you are a pack rat who lived in Hawaii in 1961 or have a family member who lived there?

Did you once work for The Honolulu Advertiser or the Honolulu Star-Bulletin (the two newspapers went belly up and merged to form the Honolulu Star-Advertiser on June 7, 2010) and have access to your newspaper's back issues?

Here's a quick and easy way for you to make FIVE THOUSAND smackaroos !!!!!!

Hawaii News Now reports, August 19, 2011, that a group called 'The Birther Summit' has offered a $5,000 reward for the original edition of either the Aug. 13, 1961 edition of The Honolulu Advertiser or the Aug. 14, 1961 edition of the Honolulu Star-Bulletin.

The Birther Summit issues an alert to the people of Honolulu, HI for someone who may very well be in possession of an original newspaper for which we will pay $5000! An original copy of the August 13, 1961 edition of The Honolulu Advertiser or the August 14, 1961 edition of the Honolulu Star-Bulletin will earn the first bearer $5000.

Those are the editions of the newspapers in which the purported birth announcement of Barack Obama appeared, and while we understand that the announcement's inclusion in those newspapers would not be conclusive proof that Barack Obama was born in Hawaii (as there were circumstances that would have allowed for them to appear without a Hawaii birth actually occurring), the only evidence anyone has actually seen of the birth announcements has been copies of microfiche versions of those newspapers, and they contain suspicious anomalies. As with the vault version of Obama's birth certificate (which has still not been forensically verified as being a valid document), we would like an opportunity to inspect one of these actual newspapers rather than purported representations of them.

The Birther Summit is aware that the existence of an original copy of one of these two newspapers might be fairly unlikely; however, August 13, 1961 was also the day that the first reports of the Berlin Wall's construction appeared in newspapers around the globe. For that reason, we believe that someone in Honolulu may have saved and stored a copy of one of them.

To redeem this reward, individuals may submit photographic evidence of their possession of one of those two newspapers to dean@birthersummit.org at which time instructions will be provided regarding the purchase process that will be brokered through our attorney's office.
