grants/projects announced recently.

NGOs, Trusts, Community Groups and other nonprofit organizations from
Pakistan are eligible to apply for these grants/projects.

As you can see, there are several multi-million dollars projects that
may be of your interest.

Since most of them have approaching deadlines, we would request that
you select from the list and let us know about it as soon as possible.

New Grants & Awards

Request for Proposal - $1,000,000 to 5,000,000 Food Security Projects

Proposals are invited to support applied field and/or laboratory
research projects for agriculture, nutrition and food in developing
countries including Pakistan, with particular impact on the poor
(including women and vulnerable groups). Project budgets should be in
the range of $ 1,000,000 to 5,000,000. Last date to apply is 23 March

£20 Million Call for Proposals - Research on Sustainability of Food Crops

An international and emerging £20 million initiative is inviting
proposals from organizations and researchers from developing countries
including Pakistan for research to improve sustainability of vital
food crops. Application deadline for outline proposals is 31 March

$1 - 5 million Projects - Call for Concept Notes

An international development organization has invited concepts notes
for research to improve agricultural productivity and nutrition in the
developing world. Applicants should be partners of academic, private
sector, civil society, and research-based organizations. Projects will
range from $1 million to $5 million for up to 30 months. The deadline

Call for Proposals on Food Security and Environmental Sustainability

A call for proposals on increased food security and environmental
sustainability has been announced by an international development
agency. Proposals for over $2 million are due 31 March 2011. Proposals

US $50000 - 250000 Call for Proposals on Poverty Reduction Projects

A global coalition of cities and development partners is soliciting
proposals for funding of projects on poverty reduction. The requested
grant size must be between US $50,000 - 250,000. The deadline for
submission on a standardized template is 31 March 2011. Contact PCDC

£50000 - 500000 Grants for Projects Tackling Poverty and Deprivation

A donor fund in the UK has announced its support for projects that
tackle the causes of poverty and deprivation in the developing world.
Grants will range from £50 thousand to £500000. The program is open to
non-governmental organizations in the UK working with partners in Asia

Expression of Interest - Documentary Production

An international development agency is looking for expressions of
interest from documentary film makers and production houses to prepare
a documentary. Last date to apply is 7 February 2011. Organizations

An international conservation group is looking for RFP's from Pakistan

A leading Pakistani strategic communication enterprise in
collaboration with a gender parity initiative has announced one-year

Request for Proposal - Advocacy Campaign to Promote Education

An international development agency in Pakistan is looking for
registered business or non-profit entity to develop advocacy campaign
for promotion of education through print media. Qualified

Call for Proposals - Case Studies on ICTs, Climate Change and Development

A development research agency is willing to fund one, two-year project
on ICTs, climate change and development. Organizations from Pakistan
are eligible to participate in the competitive process. Proposals

Call for Projects in Environment for Cash Awards

An international organization is calling for projects implemented by
young people between the ages of 8 and 16 in the field of
environmental advocacy, environmental health, research, or protection
of the natural world. The winners will receive a cash prize and

An international development agency is inviting research proposals in
areas of climate, energy, and sustainable natural resources.

Call for Proposals on Wildlife Conservation and Ecosystems

Applications are invited for projects in research and education that
can engage teams of volunteers. Project leaders can be of any

Applications are invited for projects on endangered wildlife and
habitats in developing countries. Grants are £5 to £15 thousand per

US$ 15000 Awards for Scientists

Prizes of US$15 thousand each will be given to individual scientists
in agricultural sciences, biology, chemistry, earth sciences,
engineering sciences, mathematics, medical sciences, and physics
working and living in developing countries for at least 10 years.

Call for £100 - 200000 Projects on Climate Change

The first international call is for projects on how to make
development compatible with climate change of £100 - £200 thousand.

Grants for Civil Society, Cultural and Human Rights Organizations

Grants of up to £12,500 are open to registered nonprofit organizations
representing civil society, cultural and human rights organizations,
trade unions, and social enterprises to promote cross-country sharing

US$ 11000 Agricultural Research Grants

Applications are invited for grants of up to US$11000 for up to12
individuals from national agricultural research organizations in the
developing countries including Pakistan. Priority is for applications

Fundraising Challenge

An open Challenge is announced by a global fund-raising initiative to
civil society organizations worldwide to raise a minimum amount of
funding within a defined period and become its long-term members. The

Nominations are invited from around the world for programs and
projects in river restoration, management of river water quality,

US$500-30000 Grants in Agriculture, Natural Resources & Conservation
at the Grassroots

An international grants-making foundation is soliciting proposals to
provide grants range from US$500 to US$30 thousand for projects in
agriculture, natural resources, and conservation at the grass roots.
Applicants must have tax-exempt status or a tax-exempt fiscal agent in

International Award for Services in Environment & Social Justice

Nominations are invited from around the world to honor individuals and
organizations offering practical and exemplary answers in environment
and natural resources, advances social justice and grassroots
development in the developing world. Three cash awards and one

US$ 50000 Awards for Innovators from Around the World

Three laureates in five categories including Environment will be
honored through this international award. Each laureate per category
receives US$50 thousand. These are awards to honor innovators from
around the world who are applying technology to benefit humanity.
Eligibility extends to individuals, for-profit companies, and
not-for-profit organizations. Nominations are due 31 March 2011.

US$ 10000 Grants to Promote Tourism

Expressions of interest are invited from nonprofit charitable
organizations to benefit tourism-related sites of exceptional
cultural, historic, or natural significance around the world. Twelve
grants of US$10000 each, in two stages will be made in 2011. The

Free Books on Environment Available to NGOs

Selected books in ecology and conservation will be distributed to
recipients in developing countries. Requesters in eligible countries
must submit an online form to briefly identify their organization and
projects, and why the requested book will be of value. Contact PCDC

understanding and cooperation among the stakeholders of development
through localized, knowledge-based communication products and
