Subject: [PEC] Follow these steps for Chinese Government scholarship.
Assalam-o-Alaikum to all group members,
Many people asked me about how to apply for Chinese Govt Scholarship scheme (CGSP 2011). there are too many questions. I will try to explain each one.
China scholarship Council
http://www.csc.edu.cn/ or http://en.csc.edu.cn/ is website for china scholarship council which deals all the scholarships cases. on the bottom left side of these pages Chinese government scholarship program link is available from there you find complete information about the application prcedure and all application forms avail able for download. also note that this website is mostly updated very late so may be you can see scholarship notice for year 2011 a little bit late. but i seen some university websites announced the scholarship notice for example "beijing normal university"
About universities
I tried to open institues list on www.csc.edu.cn offering the scholarships but this link is not openning. you can try http://en.csc.edu.cn/Laihua/Default.aspx?cid=296 orhttp://en.csc.edu.cn/Laihua/?cid=296

You can also read this website for complete information about universities
http://www.study-in-china.org/. here you can find universities by province and ranking. try to choose good university.
Meduim of education Chinese or english
during scholarship period you have to learn chines language for one year ( for chinese meduim of education)but universities offers some programs in english you can choose that program. if program is in english then don't mention duration for chinese language in online application form.
Dead line for application
application period mostly starts from december to end of april. but be careful that every university has its own date. Last year when i appleid in University of science and technology of china (USTC among top 10) they told me last date 31 december but at end of december they changed the deadline upto end of january so for applying in university of your interest ask them about deadline.
Important:::Before Applying
short list the universities according to your interested program.
Send email to university ask them all the procedure for this scholarship. they send you some information. also ask them that this program is in english or chinese.Also ask them about their agency number.
Proceed further After the reply of university. becuase some universities says simply that we have no more scholarships.
Agencey Number
regarding to name of university CSC given them a unique number which represents the name of university. ask about this from university.
Attestation of documents
only take attestaion of original documents and one photo copy from I.B.C.C your board of eduaction ( for H.S.S.C , S.S.C) and from HEC (for degree).
for attestaion of photocopies which you will send to university or CSC simply go to notary public commissioner and it is cheaper.
you can ask to any lawyer( وکيل)about notary public attestation.
I tried my best to explain each and every thing for my Pakistani brothers and sisters.
