**JP** PIA is airlifting relief goods free of cost

PIA is airlifting relief goods free of cost and providing voluntary support for easy distribution of relief goods in the flood affected areas, PIA spokesman said here on Friday.
PIA's Emergency Response staff and PIA Boy Scouts in collaboration with United Nations World Food Programme are distributing Food Boxes, which are being delivered through WFP Helicopters in the flood affected areas of Sindh. For the last four weeks 35,000 kgs of relief goods and food boxes were delivered to the flood affected areas by WFP from Karachi with the support of PIA volunteers. The base for operations has now shifted to Hyderabad, the PIA Spokesman added. PIA has airlifted 469,500 Kgs from ME, 607,730 kgs from Asia (Far East and Southeast Asia), 994,950 Kgs from Europe, 85,370 Kgs from Canada, 232,660 kgs from USA and 331,660 kgs from Karachi.
The Relief goods that are being airlifted free of cost by PIA from its network include Survival Kits, Medical supplies, Food Rations, Dry Milk, Mineral Water, ORS, Blankets, New Clothing and Household items etc.
