It's possible but it would be atypical. If you scroll over the bottom graph at the Gallup generic site you can get a feel for the to and fro. I almost feel that it's at least 50/50 that they do continue to slide. Reps have never held the lead in the Gallup generic and the Democrats have never had a politician of this low level of intelligence and wholesale mediocrity in the WH, jabbering away with both feet in his mouth and his head up his butt at the same time.
