Re: QUESTION: What More Do We Need To Do To Help Bullied LGBT Youth?

Good Morning PlainOl,

Yesterday, in response to one of my posts,  you said:

" 'they',  (The LGBT Alliance)  don't encourage people to come out ... they encourage those who are gay to stand up for their rights... which is a good thing"

I went on the web for the first time this morning to kind of check out some of the "Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual, Transgender Youth Alliance" pages on the web, and I beg to differ.  Here is a page from the LGBT Youth Alliance from Miami Florida.  Clearly, they are encouraging youth to "come out"  (I assume of the proverbial "closet")   and announce and defend their sexuality.   This, despite the suicides and hatred.

Here's the Gay Straight Youth Alliance from California:

Note the group here from Rochester tells the youths that they must be strong, and first confied in someone that they are close to, but apparently, come out they must:

Note how happy everyone looks in the pictures....

These group, as well as certain television shows and other aspects that are a part of popular culture in our Nation, and in the New Millennium,  have made being homosexual something "cool";  something that is portrayed to our youth, that one should want or aspire to be or want.  In short, (and I cannot stress this enough,  these web sites, (and there are literally hundreds of them on the web,  from FaceBook to Flickr to "stand alone"  web sites)  make it look cool to be a homosexual.

This of course, was orchestrated by the likes of Hunter Masden and Marshall Kirk beginning some twenty five years ago, and now, we see the progression,  by example, how we see Tom For News attempt to orchestrate these very techniques today; day in and day out.

By no means to I suggest that the LGBT Alliance could in fact "change"  one's sexual identity,  I don't think that this is possible.  I do think that it is cause for our youth experimenting with homosexuality,  and I also believe that there are many youths who could get caught up in this, that are not necessarily homosexual,  but because of the portrayal by groups such as the LGBT Alliance  and their hand maidens in the mainstream media, (the television show, "Glee"  comes to mind);  many confused, usually young individuals are identifying with this movement when they should not be.

gays don't determine their sexuality

I do believe that this group encourages
our youth to make such drastic and potentially life changing
announcements.   For this reason, the LGT Alliance should be scorned.

please ... no name calling or accusations between us on this issue.
I'm just trying to share some things I've learned about gay people
with you ... like the fact that it's almost exclusively religious
people who are fighting with and discriminating against gays.
