Interesting perspective, and not totally without merit.
I think the distinction, is that most White people don't identify in racial terms, whereas most Black individuals do. Therein lies a major distinction.
It's my belief however, that the reason many Blacks are stereotyped and identified in a negative light as compared to large groups of White people, is based on economics. Those who have grown up in a life of poverty and destitution seem to have a "self preservation" mode, that many times seems and appears to be a "Me First" type of attitude.
It's hard to explain, but many of the negative attributes which I have referred to as, the "Me First" attitude; that we see from Black individuals who have little to no education and who have been raised in large families without a paternal role model with their only means of support based on various forms of government entitlements, such as theft; violence; a non-social attitude; a "mob-like" mentality; and the clinging to socialistic values and policies, all stem from a large number of Blacks who, as stated have become dependent upon goverment entitlement programs, and who have been sold down the creek by Black leadership in this Nation.
There are now generations of Black families with children who have no experience with a parent going to work, or with a paternal role model who supports his or her family. Children have no indicator of a family member getting a pay-check at the end of the week, but instead are used to receiving a government check on the second or third of each month.
We do see some White families that are also caught up in this same hopelessness and dependent circle, but to a lesser extent. The other puzzling aspect of my theory, is that you see poor whites from Appalachia and other parts of the United States, that do not exhibit these "Me First" tendencies that I have tried to describe and define. By example, would there have been the same amount of raping, pillaging, murder and mayhem in Appalachia or Southwest Oklahoma with a predominantly White population, as there was in New Orleans with a predominately Black population, after the Katrina mayhem? I think not, but I have no other explanation other than my "economic" theory......
