White Supremacy in Detroit
White Supremacy in Detroit
Posted by Karen De Coster on March 29, 2012 02:33 PM
By now, everyone knows that the city of Detroit is financially insolvent. The state of Michigan has been on the city's back door, for months, ready to take over the city's finances in order to avert a bankruptcy. Recently, a financial review team was sent in by governor Rick Snyder to perform a financial review to understand the severity of the city's financial distress. The review team members hosted a bunch of angry protesters who showed up to shout out and save their city from evil white people. One man who you will see in this video, a "minister" named Malik Shabazz, stood up and declared, "This is white supremacy, and we will fight you. And before we will let you take over our city, we will burn it down first." If you watch the video, you will note that the review team is comprised of both black and white members. But the governor, Rick Snyder, is white.
When Shabazz was interviewed by the local media, he refused to recant or apologize for the remark. In fact, he called himself a "student of history" and claimed that the financial review and potential takeover of the city's finances was "fascism." He can't even get basic definitions correct. He goes on to blame the Banksters and their subprime scheme and housing bubble for Detroit's dilapidated blight, in spite of the fact that the city's decay began thirty-five years before the housing bubble. You have to see this video of the "minister" to believe that he really exists and he is not a cartoon character.
For a bit of history, Coleman Young, who was black, served as Detroit's first openly Communist mayor from 1974 - 1994. Only his failing health allowed us to get rid of him. Dennis Archer, a black man and former Michigan Supreme Court Judge, was mayor from 1994 - 2001. Archer gave up because he was a good guy and the city was too corrupt for him to fix. Kwame Kilpatrick, the black hip-hop mayor, served as the city's Fraudster-in-Chief from 2002 - 2008. We didn't get rid of him until he was carted off to jail for the most minor (felony obstruction of justice) of his many crimes. Ken Cockrel, the black city council president, took over in the interim from 2008 - 2009. From 2009 to the present, Dave Bing, a very successful and decently honest black entreprenuer, has run the city. He only inherited Kwame's mess; he didn't make it. All things considered, the city of Detroit has been run by blacks and the black majority unions for 40 years. That hardly seems like "white supremacy" to me.
