I Am Working, In a Manner of Speaking
BRUCE MAJORS,
We all do it. You are probably doing it right now. You know what I am talking about: looking at non-related work material on the Internet. Searching for good holiday deals on Amazon, keeping up with your friends on Facebook, finding the best flights on Priceline. Believe it or not, this may not be a bad thing for your employer:
Getting Paid to Browse Facebook
But how much social media is too much? Do you ever come across a post on Facebook and say "Who is this person? How do I know them?" It happens to me all the time. So what does this mean for where we are headed...and for our organizations?
Is 2011 the End of Social?
You do it. I do it. We want to be connected. We don't want to miss anything and now we never will, thanks to social media.
Keep being awesome,
Paul Homan, GovLoop Fellow
(On Behalf of Steve Ressler aka "Mr. GovLoop")
