Re: Three Arrested, Accused Of Illegally Feeding Homeless

Feeding the homeless is indeed the issue. In early 2006, the Orlando City Council passed an ordinance that prohibits sharing food with more than 25 people in city parks without a permit and limits permitted groups to doing so only two times a year.

That folks such as yourself support such crap is disturbing.

Arrest documents state that Orlando Food Not Bombs received permits and fed more than 25 homeless people at Lake Eola Park on May 18 and 23. Coleman said the group rejected the permits. The group on its website called for members to show up that day and defy the city ordinance, according to the report. I cannot believe a community would allow the creation/enforcement of a law that prohibits feeding homeless people. It's time for very large gatherings of people to hold un-permitted barbecues at all Orlando parks at the same time on the same day. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Three Arrested, Accused Of Illegally Feeding Homeless*http://tinyurl.com/3vbc399 "On May 25, Orlando Food Not Bombs illegally fed a large group of homeless people, the police report states." --        Freedom is always illegal!
