I gave it a shot, and I did not find it difficult at all, but I hope
Keithie Keith will not call me a Socailist again simply because I
studied French. I chose French because it is a beautiful language and
an eloquent culture.
"freedom fries"! Le truaduiser, c'est finis. Voila.

Melancholy

-by Leo Ferre

Melancholy is a dead end street, that nothing it can say,
It's ten years of mush in a memory
this is what we want without having to choose
Melancholy is a lost cat one believes one has found
It's a big dog in the world we know
It's the name of a street where you will never go
Melancholy, it is only found in Opera Square
When the cop yells orders and he does not know
Whether you throw up (puke) on the way back home
It's relaxing, turn on the television,
Look distracted with a Zitrone juice (a citrus drink brand)
Speak in the third person to one who does not play (respond),  melancholy

Melancholy is seeing a beggar in the tax bureau,
It Is seeing two lovers who read the newspaper
It Is to see one's mother every time one gets hurt
Melancholy is watching (Greta) Garbo in Queen Christina again
It's goodbye Charlie in the age of Chaplin
