No longer/even less than ever a monolithic voting bloc?

LinkedIn Groups

Is there any wonder that people label lawmakers like Sen. Kerry as elitists? Sen. Kerry provides a fitting example to those who argue Washington is out-of-touch with the average voter and why, despite their legislative successes, a number of the Democrats' candidates are struggling at the polls. Much of the legislation the Democrats passed to 'help' those they view as the poor rubes in the hinterlands wasn't even wanted by the voters, who, for the most part, seem to want the Federal Government to live within its means and be less involved in our daily lives.
