* The tragedy is that the number of people almost equal to the ENTIRE population of Australia have lost everything, are devastated and displaced.
* 3,500,000 Children are at risk of DEATH due to water borne diseases.
* Over 10,000,000 still haven't received aid.
* Over 20,000,000 severely affected and displaced.
* Pakistan estimates that 2.5%, or nearly $5 bn, will be wiped off expected growth this year as a result of the floods.
* Some economists believe the inflation rate could spike to 25% in the short-term
* Population affected: approximately 20 million in more than 11,000 villages
* 1.2 million homes destroyed or damaged.
* An estimated 4.8 million people currently without shelter
This is a massive tragedy and no one organisation can reach all affected. The scale of devastation is huge so the more the relief efforts the better.Even if you are supporting another organisation, please spread your aid amongst your choices so it can reach the maximum number of affected.
