Re: globalism/outsourcing

How many Americans (and Canadians) will allow their neighbours and
friends to be thrown out of work simply because the discount stores
will sell a similar but cheaper and less reliable product... It is
most unfair that you blame the importers if you are also unwilling to
pay a slightly higher price for goods that are locally made, and co-
incidently of better quality. I frequently have to shudder, and grit
my teeth when I hear of the bargains that come from south of the St.
Lawrence river. And laugh out loud; I bought a coffee maker during a
trip to Watertown NY, It was clearly made for the Canadian market...
(markings in English and French) but imported to Canada from
China....
