Announcing the 6th Annual International Students For Liberty Conference!
We are thrilled to announce the 2013 International Students For Liberty Conference, taking place February 15-17 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Washington, DC.

This year our Friday night Keynote Speaker and Alumnus of the Year will be John Mackey, the co-founder and CEO of Whole Foods Market! As the company's visionary, he has led the development of many innovative programs such as the $10 million in low-interest loans to local farmers and food producers to help them expand their businesses. The Whole Foods Market workplace is based on the ideals of respect for the individual and self-empowerment. Mr. Mackey's most recent focus is re-invigorating Whole Foods Market's emphasis on healthy eating and lifestyle choices. An active promoter of a new business paradigm termed "Conscious Capitalism," he is also co-founder of a non-profit organization of that name.

We are also thrilled to welcome back our good friend John Stossel for a Saturday night taping of The STOSSEL Show that will air on the Fox Business Network! We made history in 2011 by recording an episode of the STOSSEL Show at the ISFLC which was later broadcast worldwide on the Fox Business Network. That first show was such a hit that we repeated the feat in 2012 with an all-star libertarian panel included Cato VP David Boaz, Reason.TV Editor-in-Chief Nick Gillespie, and more. This year will be bigger and better!

The conference will also feature a new musical guest on Friday night, Dorian Electra! Dorian is a singer, songwriter, filmmaker, and visual artist, best known for her music videos about economics. She has written songs about math, quantum physics, and tooth-brushing — her most popular is a love song to dead, Austrian economist, Friedrich Hayek, which gained unexpected popularity on YouTube in 2010.

This year's edition of the International Students For Liberty Conference will be our largest and most exciting event yet. Space is limited so reserve your spot now by registering early at http://studentsforliberty.org/event/2013-international-sfl-conference!

Win $600 and a Trip to New Orleans!

The Society for the Development of Austrian Economics is pleased to announce the third annual Carl Menger Essay Contest. The purpose of the contest is to recognize and encourage undergraduate scholarship in the Austrian tradition and the broadly catallactic approach to social science which it represents, an approach common also to the Scottish Enlightenment of Smith and Hume, the French Liberal School of Say and Bastiat, the Virginia School of Buchanan and Tullock, the UCLA price theory of Alchian and Demsetz, and the Bloomington School of Vincent and Elinor Ostrom, among others. We invite essays that explore, advance, challenge, or apply the ideas of these and related schools of thought.

Interested in Starting a Pro-Liberty Club on Campus This Fall?

SFL publications aggregate information and data on how students run organizations for liberty around the U.S. If you're interested in starting a new pro-liberty group on your campus this fall, be sure to check out SFL's handbook on How to Start a Student Group for Liberty.

This handbook provides a simple, 10-step process to starting an organization dedicated to liberty. Feel free to share it with friends who want to start an organization for liberty.
