Extra-judicial killings in Balochistan
 
Human Rights Commission of Pakistan requests your urgent intervention in the following situation
 
Description of the situation:
 
 
On 15 August 2010 Mr. Agha Abid Shah, S/O Syed Gul Agha, 30-years, R/O Chitkan Area, Panjgur district, Balochistan, Pakistan was sitting in District Head Quarters Hospital, Panjgur along with his two friends. Some unknown men in two vehicles came in the premises of DHQ and picked up these men.  The family of the victims claimed that the abductors were identified as Frontier Constabulary personnel. Later on May 11, 2011 their bullet ridden bodies were recovered from Panjgur.
 
 Agha Abid Shah, 30, was a former Chairman of BSO (Azad). Master. Safeer Baloch S/O Ghous Bux, 38, R/O Suro Do, District Panjgur, was Government School Teacher and Member of Balochistan National Movement (BNM) Mr. Abdual Sattar S/O Dad Muhammad, 40, R/O Prom, Chitkan, District Panjgur, Balochistan was also Government School Teacher and Chairman of Government Teachers Association, Panjur District.
 
Mr. Hameed Baloch, R/O Kudabadan,Panjgur was going back from Quetta after medical check up in a bus on December 13, 2010 when intelligence personnel intercepted bus at Sabzaap, Panjgur and abducted Mr. Hameed.  On May 24 his bullet riddled dead body was found from Tehsil Gawargo, District Panjgur. There were also signs of torture on his body.
 
On May 23, 2011 two bullet riddled bodies of Khalid Baloch and Ahmed Ali were found from Murgab Turbat District.
 
Mr. Khalid Baloch was abducted one day earlier May 22, 2011 from his home, Nasirabad.
 
Mr. Ahmed Ali was missing after his abduction one week ago from Mand, Balochistan. There were signs of torture on their bodies.
 
 Jamal Khan's bullet riddled body was found from Khuzdar district on May 25, 2011. He was resident of Nokajo, Mashkey, Disrtict Awaran.
   
Action requested
 Please write to the authorities in Pakistan urging them:
 1. Independent Judicial Commission should conduct inquiry of these extra-judicial killings and determine the culprits.
2. Disappearances and extra-judicial killings should be stopped.
3. Detainees should not be tortured and ill-treated while in detention.
4. The families of the victims should be given proper compensation
5. A comprehensive development plan should be implemented.
6. The recommendations of Judicial Commission on Missing persons should be implemented

 We express our deep concern on the abduction, torture and extra-judicial killings in Balochistan.
The abduction, torture and killing of civilians by agencies should be stopped.
