Re: Social Security vs Pensions

And yet you and I both know people who will not vote for the Republican Party no matter how f"ed up the Dems are or just how bad - and their candidates are seriously BAD - the Dems are.  They just seem to be programmed to vote for the Dems.  I especially noticed this when I had that contract in Boston.  Those people there are seriously programmed.  Also not too bright.  I never knew many who could understand cause and effect - if I do this then that will happen and then this other thing will happen.  Just seem to see one event at a time and not see what the result of that would be.

Studio,

"You won't receive your car or home insurance back just because you
paid in either retard."

Your analogy is seriously flawed. Wealthy or poor, if you drive a car
you have the potential to have an accident and need insurance.
However, if Social Security worked as you propose, then someone
meeting your definition of wealth would have no chance of ever
collecting. So, really, what you're suggesting is that someone who
doesn't drive should still be paying car insurance to help pay for the
insurance of those who do.
