Libya

Sir.
Whereas the Constitution for these United States of America states, in Article I, Section 8, paragraph 11, states that the Congress shall have the power to declare War.

Whereas the Congress delegated the power to the President to engage in military action against Iraq without the declaration of war, thus abdicating its responsibility for THAT theater of operations ONLY

Whereas the conflict in Libya is an INTERNAL issue and poses no ACTIVE and imminent threat to one of these United States

Whereas the Constitution for these United States of America is the Law of the Land

Whereas the phrase "any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding" does not mean that those listed things have no standing, but rather that those things listed HAVE standing to nullify a treaty

Whereas the Actions in Libya are authorized by treaty with the United Nations

then the actions against Libya are Unconstitutional and therefore an Act of Treason.

therefore, sir, i am interested in what the Congress is going to do about the usurpation of Congressional Authority by the Executive.
