That's precisely correct, and it's as simple as that.
Republicans always become Libertarians when out of power.
But when they re-assume in power, they're no longer interested in
Libertarianism except as an after-thought.
Republicans are not Libertarians. They merely have a few things in
common the same way that Republicans and Democrats have a few things
in common; or Democrats and Libertarians for that matter.
