Re: Graffiti tagger sentenced to 8 years in prison

No,  I hate anyone who is so inconsiderate of others that he will do what this POS did.   I personally think he should clean at least twice as much as he messed up and do it with a tooth brush - and then pay a fine.   I still want to know what the MJ felony was all about.

Giving someone a minor slap on the wrist will accomplish nothing as we have seen from the actions of people like this young man.   Nothing will touch him unless he has to pay one way or another for what he did.

As someone who lived through the graffiti art support from the limousine liberals of the UES when we could not see out the windows on the subways nor could we read the maps on the subway walls because of all the graffiti, when homes and apartments and businesses were so defaced you could not be sure what the store was, when all the nice artworks and parks in the area were completely covered with this stuff, I am not into this for 8 months at all.  If you couple this damage he did to other people's property, and two bits says he won't have to clean any of it off, when you couple that with MJ felony, then while 8 years might be  a little too much, 8 months does not even come close to covering what he did.  If you want a light sentence, then couple it with making him clean off graffiti from buildings in the area where the put all his signing and repaint them and clean the property.   That should be the minimum that this creep has to do to repay what he did.    When the graffiti craze first came out and the UES limo libs were all for having parties for these creeps, I kept hoping that the artists would scrawl all over the buildings and cars of these UES limo libs and mess up their neighborhood.  Unfortunately that is not what happened.  If they even thought of doing anything in those neighborhoods, the cops would run them off.  It was the rest of the citizens of the city who had to pay the price for what these libs were supporting.       Later, you     can call me a racist,     -------     I wouldn't do that Keith. Not unless I saw you drag a black man behind     your truck on a chain with my own two eyes. Certainly not for ignoring     the potential for abuse that exists in profiling.
