wrong to complain about what Palin did while ignoring what her own
party did, and that's the point. If you want to argue that tactic is
improper, fine, but be consistent. What's looney is to argue a
political map with cross-hairs on it could be the motive for an
assassination attempt, but a map with bulls-eyes on it is perfectly
fine.
I also don't think anyone making this point is "making excuses". It's
more like an effort to educate those morally bankrupt enough to make
such misguided accusations.
What most Americans aren't buying are the accusations being made by
the Left in a desperate attempt to tie the rampage to people on the
Right. Even you should know that by now.
