Democrats preparing spending bill that keeps spending at historic recordsScotty Starnes | March 3, 2011 at 2:43 PM | Tags: budget cuts, Democrats, national deficit, spending bill, spending cuts | Categories: Political Issues | URL: http://wp.me/pvnFC-4CQ |
Brought to you by the same group of Democrats who refused to pass a budget in 2010.
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Senate Democrats are preparing a spending bill that yields no ground to House Republicans who are seeking deep cuts in government spending, a Democratic aide said on Wednesday.
Why should Democrats stop spending? It's not like we don't have a $14 trillion dollar deficit. $5 trillion of this debt came from the hands of those Democrats who served from 2007 til 2011.
The spending bill would essentially keep government spending at its current level through the end of the fiscal year on September 30, factoring in $4 billion in noncontroversial cuts that were included in a temporary spending measure passed earlier in the day.
