He lost his career. He had to give up his law license and he
really shouldn't have been charged with anything. The FBI agent
conveniently lost his notes from other people and when he testified
could not back up anything he said with notes from the interviews.
Fitz then, even after being told not to bringup new subjects in his
summing up did precisely that. Two of the jury members should never
have been seated. They lied about their background, one of them even
having worked directly for Tom Russert and taking notes to write stories
about the jury decisions. Tom Russert was the one whose testimony did
the most damage to Libby and Tom Russert was one of those who the FBI
agent lost his notes on. Altogether the whole trial was a scam.
