New post on Fellowship of the Minds | | Why would any Mexican pay the equivalent of US $20 to go to a "theme park" late at night, where they would have an "experience" simulating the travails of making an illegal crossing across the border into the United States, complete with running through underground tunnels while being chased by "border patrol"? That's exactly what young Mexicans are doing at the EcoAlberto Park in El Alberto -- a barren, sparsely populated town in the state of Hidalgo, 800 miles south of the US border. Are they doing this for "entertainment" or is this a dry-run to prepare for a real border crossing? H/t my friend Mark S. McGrew ~Eowyn | | | |
