On August 26, 2011, I wrote a post titled "We Didn't Elect a Queen," about unnamed "White House sources" stating that Michelle Obama has spent $10 million of U.S. taxpayers' money on vacations alone in the past year.
Calling her "disgusting" and "a vacation junkie", the "top source" said Moochelle had indulged in five-star hotels, where she splashes out on expensive massages and alcohol. "It's disgusting. Michelle is taking advantage of her privileged position while the most hardworking Americans can barely afford a week or two off work. When it's all added up, she's spent more than $10 million in taxpayers' money on her vacations."
That was before the $4 million year-end vacation in Hawaii.
There's a saying, "If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck." Incredible as it is to us, Moochelle gives every evidence that she really thinks she's a queen.
Here's the latest.
Ben Johnson of The White House Watch alerts us to an upcoming episode of the Nickelodeon children's show iCarly, airing on January 16, in which Moochelle will appear.
In the episode, the character Sam Puckett calls her "Your Excellency." When a friend corrects Sam, Michelle responds, "No, no, I kinda like it."
Johnson notes that "Hollywood writers managed to capture the truth about our first lady. She vacations in splendor, often spending long periods of time away from her husband in the watchful care of handsome, well-built members of the Secret Service. In the summer of 2010, she spent $145,000 flying Air Force 747s to her Spanish vacation. She shelled out an additional $95,000 in hotel costs — for the Secret Service alone. She and Barry scooted off to Martha's Vineyard this summer, renting a home for 10 days for the cost of a mere $50,000 of your dollars."
There's another wannabe queen in Congress (other than Nancy, of course). It's Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee (D-TX), who once told her staffers,, "I am a queen, and I demand to be treated like a queen."
Talk about delusional....
Moochelle and Sheila should be careful about what they wish for. Look at what happened to Queen Marie Antoinette....
