Burkasrugly - If the mainstream media had been doing its job they would have been reporting extensively on the largest terrorism-finance trial in American history. The Holy Land Foundation trial was conducted in Texas in 2007 and 2008. Have you ever heard of it?
Probably not, if you rely on the mainstream media for your news. There's a wealth of information out there from many credible new media sources detailing the trial. Basically, the Texas-based Muslim charity called the Holy Land Foundation was convicted, along with several of the group's leaders, of funneling millions of dollars to the terrorist group Hamas. During the trial, the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) was named as an unindicted co-conspirator. Wiretap evidence from the trial revealed that CAIR's executive director, Nihad Awad, was at a Philadelphia meeting of Hamas where participants hatched a plot to disguise payments to Hamas terrorists as charity. Wiretaps also recorded them stating the need to deceive Americans about their true aims. As a result the FBI suspended all formal contacts between themselves and CAIR. These people and this group are dangerous. As recently as October, Awad wrote an article for USA Today. Why do the mainstream media give this man any credibility at all? Also, a bombshell document was presented during the HLF trial. It was the manifesto of the Muslim Brotherhood in North America which stated: "The Ikhwan (Arab brothers) must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and "sabotaging" its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion (Islam) is made victorious over all religions." If some Christian charity were involved in a similar crime the trial would have been sensationalized by the media and every American would know about it. Instead, the media is blinded by their insane need to be Politically Correct. Consequently, they ignore crimes committed by the "multicultural" community. The mainstream media has a responsibility to report newsworthy stories like this. To do otherwise borders on sedition. Well said, Fishin' Guy.
