Dear Bruce
Today, President Obama spoke in front of the largest Latino convention of the year. His goal was to build support for his reelection campaign, but the truth is that President Obama has deported over a MILLION immigrants since the start of his administration.
These deportations are tearing our families apart and they have unleashed an unprecedented wave of fear in our communities. That's why we're joining our friends from CASA de Maryland and Congressman Luis Gutierrez tomorrow at 3pm in front of the White House.
We will be raising our collective voice to let President Obama know that we are counting on him to end the deportations. No more campaign rhetoric - now it's time for action.
The rally is going to be powerful and energizing. Will you join us?
Here are the details:
What: Immigration Rally to stop deportations until there is a legislative solution
When: July 26, 2011 at 3:00 pm
Where: White House, at Lafayette Square, corner of 16th and H St. NW

We will be asking for a moratorium on the deportations of DREAM students and others, as well as the end of local police and immigration collaboration in our communities. We hope to see you there!
Thank you and ¡adelante!
