Reagan did not end "The Soviet Empire".
The Soviet Union collapsed and ended while Reagan was president.
Reagan likely contributed somewhat to that collapse with his "
Star Wars" threats, but he did not cause the collapse directly.
He did, however, take political
credit for what he did not actually do, just as Dubya did later.
