We Need Stronger Towns
BRUCE MAJORS,
There are numerous challenging and complex problems that government faces at all levels. At the local level, stronger towns and communities means that local governments can more easily address work with citizens to solve those challenges. But Sid Burgess asks: how do we develop stronger communities when partisanship stands in the way?
Partisanship is Killing our Neighborhoods
What is the solution for eliminating partisanship at the local level? A start is understanding and convincing the public that we can work together -- and that we're actually listening to their concerns. Is the Occupy Movement an example? Ryan Wythe shares his observations:
Preoccupied by Occupy
What is clear is that we need vibrant towns and cities. By investing in our municipalities, we'll empower citizens and neighborhoods to work towards collaborative solutions to the most complex public policy challenges.
Keep being awesome,
