I have seen one or two places where people very dishonestly imply that Rand Paul was advocating more government intrusion than we have under Pbama. I heard him on the radio and he was clearly advocating less.

I'm not at all sure I disagree with you at all, but given your caveat,
one (perhaps even I), could make the argument that everyone is
actually better than allowing the government to single out (I'm
thinking Tailgunner Joe, for eg), people/groups.
