Prediction:

In order for the power elite to attempt to maintain control over a slowly simmering proletariat, they are going to have to give up one of their favorite levers of control ­ the abortion issue.

Repubs are dropping like flies and converting into dishearten and disenchanted voters. "Prolife" voters (and by prolife I mean anti-abortion) have loyally stayed with their abusive spouse (the Republican Party) for well over 30 years, but this time they are finally ready to move out. Their spouse knows that he must now change and finally deliver on the promise to end abortion on demand.

Much like African Americans were thrown a rather tasty bone the last presidential election, look for the power elite to throw a tasty bone to the anti-abortion voters.

As I have learned over the last decade as an avid reader of lewrockwell.com, the thing that the power elite fears most is loss of interest in the "voting process." Significant and meaningful change to the abortion issue's status quo accomplishes two things ­ it shores up the bleeding on Republican side and it whips the remaining far left liberals, who haven't managed to eliminate their creed through natural selection, on the other side.

I say one, two years tops, abortion on demand is toast in this country.
