یہ جو آنکھوں میں نمایاں سی نمی آئی ہے
یوں سمجھنا کہ مرے غم میں کمی آئی ہے
درد نکلا ہے نئی راہ پہ ہولے ہولے
جستجو جان کہ پلکوں نے بھی گیسو کھولے
دل کو آرام ملے لب سے کہو کچھ بولے
گرد عرصے سے مرے یار جمی آئی ہے
یہ جو آنکھوں میں نمایاں سی نمی آئی ہے
درد سینے میں جما رہتا تو کیا کچھ کرتا
زخم گہرے تھے زمانہ بھی کہاں تک بھرتا
گھٹ کے اندر سے ہی کھا جاتا، کہیں جا مرتا
آنکھ کے راستے دکھ درد، غمی آئی ہے
یہ جو آنکھوں میں نمایاں سی نمی آئی ہے

Dard nikla hai nai rah pay hollay hollay
Justaju jaan kay palkon nay bhi gaisoo kholay
Dil ko araam milay, lub say kaho kuch bolay
Gard arsay say meray yar jammi aai hai
Yeh jo ankhon main numayan si nammi aai hai
Dard seenay main jamaa rehta to kia kuch karta
Zakhm gehray thay zamana bhi kahan tuk bharta
Ghut kay ander hi say kha jata kahin ja marta
Ankh kay rastay, dukh dard ghammi aai hai
Yeh jo ankhon main numayan si nammi aai hai
