Re: They Don't Like Black People -- Juan Williams edition

I agree Dick.  I hope Mara Liasson quits NPR outright over this.

Easy.  He spoke against the received truth from on high.   Also if you support him on this then you have to support what jesse Jackson had to say about being relieved to see white guys following him.

Also agree on Juan Williams being a liberal, an unusual one in that he is able to explain his views and bring up valid points of discussion on most subjects.   I am most definitely not a liberal but I like him whether I agree with his points or not.   He is at least thinking about what he believes which is a big difference from most liberals who believe only what they are told to believe by their masters who give them their talking points.

Question I have about the leadership is that the one leader who SHOULD support him is Jesse Jackson if he had any ethical standards but Jesse and ethical standards will never show up in the same room at the same time.

Has anyone asked Mara Liasson for her opinion?   She has been brought up in the discussion numerous times.   How about Nina Totenberg, she of the Jesse Helms comment and the offer to give Bubba a BJ because he supported abortions when he was caught out in the Lewinsky sex problem.   Haven't heard even a snicker from either of them on this subject.   I would hope that Mara Liasson would support Juan and possibly even join him at Fox permanently rather than put up with NPR and its attempts to get rid of her as well.   Now she knows the ethical standards of NPR and the response of Fox I would think she would accept an offer from Fox in a heartbeat.  I also wonder why nobody mentions Nina and her other job as a commenter on NBC.   That should be a no-no as well unless NPR supports the comments that Nina made about Helms and Bubba which again speaks to the ethical standards at NPR - very low indeed.

Juan Williams is, no question, a "Liberal".   He may not be a far left socialist-elitise extremist....As a matter of fact, he is well thought, and the times that I have watched him, offers reasoned, (again) thoughtful opinions.

Baffling how the Black leadership of this Nation did not come to his aid and defense.

Bruce... let me ask you one question.....
Have you heard any of the usual "black"  civil rights leaders or
"voices" comment on this?.... you know, the NAACP, Sharpton, Jesse
Jackson, Oprah or Obama... etc.?
I mean, if Juan was even moderately  a liberal voice... don't you
think one or another of these "folks" would have said something by
now?
Just sayin'.....
