Re: So Misunderstood.....Ron Paul Continues Assault On The Media

The point being, is that you believe those facts about CNN and Dash,
(along with her CNN compatriot and husband, "Jeremy"
---
they are true

....Just as you
believed that Newt Gingrich tried to divorce his wife while she was
hospitalized with cancer;
---
if doesn't matter what I believe.

In one of her only public comments on the divorce, Battley told the
Washington Post in 1985 that "it came as a complete surprise."
She described being in the hospital after her third cancer surgery
when he came to visit. "He wanted to discuss the terms of the divorce
while I was recovering from the surgery," she said. "To say I gave up
a lot for the marriage is the understatement of the year."
CNN interviewed Newt Gingrich's former pal and early congressional
campaign treasurer Leonard Carter, who said their friendship ended
over the ambitious pol's callous treatment of his wife.

just as you believed that Gingrich had a fair,
impartial Congressional ethics hearing;
---
I think he did also.

just as you believed that Paul
opposed Iran having a nuclear weapon;
---
he doesn't oppose Iran having a nuke

the list is endless of faulty
beliefs that you and other Ron Paul supporters "believe" in, which
turns
out not to be at all accurate or truthful.
---
try again ...

Turkey: Police raid of NGOs offices in Diyarbakir

16 January, 2012

Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan,

Prime Minister

Office of the Prime Minister

Basbakanlik 06573 Ankara,

Turkey,

Fax: + 90 312 417 0476;

E-mail: receptayyip.erdogan@basbakanlik.gov.tr

Re: Turkey: Police raid of NGOs offices in Diyarbakir

Dear Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan,

I have been informed by the Human Rights Association (İHD) about the police raid of the offices of its Diyarbakır branch as well as that of the General Centre of the Public Workers' Trade Union (KESK), the Education Workers' Trade Union (Egitim-Sen), the Kurdish Language Research and Development Association (Kurdi-Der) and the Solidarity Association For Prisoners' and Convicts' Relatives (Tuhay-Der).

 According to the information received, in the early morning of January 13, 2012, the anti-terrorism unit of the police raided on the basis of an illegal search warrant[1] the offices in Diyarbakır of İHD, KESK, Egitim-Sen, Kurdi-Der and Tuhay-Der, in the framework of a wide ranged anti-terrorist operation intended to dismantle an alleged terrorist network – the Kurdish Communities Union (KCK)[2] – that in fact targets peaceful activists from the Kurdish community who are not related to any terrorist activities, including human rights defenders and associations. The police confiscated computers found on the premises of all organisations. All were later returned except those confiscated in İHD's offices.

I denounce the continuing harassment of human rights defenders and organisations in Turkey, and particularly İHD members, members of trade unions and those fighting against the impunity of serious crimes and calling for a peaceful resolution of the Kurd question, which seems to merely aim at sanctioning their human rights activities. To that extent, the Observatory recalls that several İHD members are currently in pre-trial detention, notably Mr. Muharrem Erbey, İHD General Vice Chairperson and Chairperson of its Diyarbakir Province branch who had been detained since December 2009, Mr. Arslan Özdemir, Ms. Roza Erdede, İHD members in Diyarbakır[3], Mr. Ragıp Zarakolu, Honorary Board Member and Founder of İHD and publisher, and Ms. Büşra Ersanlı, lecturer at the Marmara University Faculty of Political Sciences and International Relations in Istanbul[4], members of associations of families of victims of abusive anti-terrorism policies[5] and lawyers[6]. Dozens of other human rights defenders remain in provisional release pending the outcome of criminal trials on alleged terrorism charges[7].

Accordingly, I call upon the Turkish authorities to put an end to the continuing harassment against human rights associations and defenders and urges the Turkish authorities to stop raids and release all human rights defenders held in detention immediately and unconditionally, since their detention is arbitrary.

I urge you guarantee in all circumstances the physical and psychological integrity of Mr. Ragıp Zarakolu, Ms. Büşra Ersanlı, Mr. Muharrem Erbey, Mr. Arslan Özdemir and Ms. Roza Erdede as well as all other members of İHD, KESK, Egitim-Sen, Kurdi-Der and Tuhay-Der, members of associations of families of victims of abusive anti-terrorism policies and lawyers, and in general, all human rights defenders in Turkey.

I also urge you please  release immediately and unconditionally Mr. Ragıp Zarakolu, Ms. Büşra Ersanlı, Mr. Muharrem Erbey, Mr. Arslan Özdemir and Ms. Roza Erdede as well as members of associations of families of victims of abusive anti-terrorism policies and lawyers who are currently detained, since their detention is arbitrary as it only aim at sanctioning their human rights activities;

Please put an end to all acts harassment, including at the judicial level, against Mr. Ragıp Zarakolu, Ms. Büşra Ersanlı, Mr. Muharrem Erbey, Mr. Arslan Özdemir and Ms. Roza Erdede as well as all other members of İHD, KESK, Egitim-Sen, Kurdi-Der, Tuhay-Der, members of associations of families of victims of abusive anti-terrorism policies and lawyers and, in general, all human rights defenders in Turkey;

I also urge you please  comply with the provisions of the United Nations Declaration on Human Rights Defenders, especially its Article 1, which states that "everyone has the right, individually and in association with others, to promote and to strive for the protection and realisation of human rights and fundamental freedoms at the national and international levels", as well as Article 12.2, which provides that "the State shall take all necessary measures to ensure the protection by the competent authorities of everyone, individually and in association with others, against any violence, threats, retaliation, de facto or de jure adverse discrimination, pressure or any other arbitrary action as a consequence of his or her legitimate exercise of the rights referred to in the present Declaration.

More generally, ensure in all circumstances the respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms in accordance with international and regional human rights instruments ratified by Turkey.

I thank you for your consideration of my recommendations. Please be reassured of my highest regards.

Sincerely yours,

William Nicholas Gomes

Re: CIA's Open Source Center Analyze Twitter in Real Time

On December 9, 2010, Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, and investor Warren
Buffett signed a promise they called the "Giving Pledge", in which
they promised to donate to charity at least half of their wealth over
the course of time, and invited others among the wealthy to donate 50%
or more of their wealth to charity.

real nice guys, eh?

Re: So Misunderstood.....Ron Paul Continues Assault On The Media

Other than Crazy Uncle Ron's recent claims,  (because Crazy Uncle Ron at first beleived that Iran was building a nuclear weapon, but didn't seem alarmed about it, and when this was pointed out to PlainOl, who also didn't care,  he said,  "Cite examples"  which I did.  Crazy Uncle Ron made the "I Don't Care About Nuclear Weapons In Iran"  back during the first three debates.

Where are you getting that there is no evidence that Iran is not attempting to make a nuclear weapon?  From Panetta's recent statement?

Iran has a whole lot of oil... they have no refineries... They export crude and import gas, oil, and other oil products...  that is why Paul says they don't even have enough gas for their cars...They don't.

The USA has even more oil than Iran.... why in the hell are they using and refining the nuclear process??

Do I want someone that looks at and assesses all the facts before screaming for war on unfounded bases. Why, yes, I do; if speaking of Paul.

If the question is about Monkey man from Iran... then, No, I do not; fortunately there is not a shred of credible evidence that this will or can take place.

is their business," he said, adding there is no proof Iran is building
a nuclear weapon.
A recent IAEA report said that Iran's pursuit of nuclear technology
over several years could be consistent with the building of a bomb.
And Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta gave Iran "about a year, perhaps
a little less" before it could have a nuclear weapon.

There exists NO credible report that says a single word in the
positive that Iran is or has pursued a Nuke. If there is, please post
it.

OBAMA'S NEW CZAR TIED TO GEORGE SOROS, OCCUPY, ACORN, MOVEON

January 12th, 2012 | Author: The Meister

by AARON KLEIN

Prior to her appointment yesterday as the next director of President Obama's Domestic Policy Council, longtime immigration reform advocate Cecilia Munoz served on the board of George Soros' Open Society Institute.

Munoz also chaired the board of directors of the Center for Community Change, or CCC, a Soros-funded community organizing initiative whose board boasts activists from ACORN, MoveOn.org and other radical groups.

Munoz is currently the head of the White House office of intergovernmental affairs. She most recently worked for the National Council of La Raza, an open-borders group that lobbies for mass immigration and amnesty for illegal aliens.

The official White House statement announcing her new appointment yesterday noted Munoz's previous work for both the CCC and Soros' Institute.

"Over the past three years, Cecilia has been a trusted advisor who has demonstrated sound judgment day in and day out," Obama said in the statement. "Cecilia has done an extraordinary job working on behalf of middle class families, and I'm confident she'll bring the same unwavering dedication to her new position."

Munoz's new duties will include coordinating the policy-making process and supervising the execution of domestic policy in the White House.

While the White House release documented Munoz's work for the CCC, the statement did not further define the CCC, which recruits and trains activists to spearhead "political issue campaigns" while advocating for more citizen involvement in community organizations.

Munoz worked at the CCC until late November 2008, when then-President-elect Obama announced Munoz had been selected for the position of director of intergovernmental affairs at the White House

The CCC bases its training programs on the techniques taught by radical organizer Saul Alinsky, with several prominent Alinskyites on the board that Munoz directed.

One such activist on CCC's board is Heather Booth, founder of the Midwest Academy, which openly trains activists in Alinsky tactics.

Citizen Action of Wisconsin, an arm of Booth's Midwest Academy, is part of the Moving Wisconsin Forward movement, one of the main organizers of the major Wisconsin protests last February. The protests were in opposition to Gov. Scott Walker's proposal for most state workers to pay 12 percent of their health care premiums and 5.8 percent of their salary toward their own pensions.

The Woods Fund, a Chicago nonprofit on which Obama served as paid director alongside Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers, provided money to the Midwest Academy.

As WND previously reported, the executive director of Midwest Academy was part of the team that developed and delivered a group of volunteers for Obama's 2008 campaign.

The CCC board, meanwhile, includes Arlene Holt Baker, executive vice president of the AFL-CIO; Tom Chabolla, assistant to SEIU president Mary Kay Henry; and Justin Ruben, executive director of MoveOn.org.

CCC's executive director is Deepak Bhargava, a strong supporter of Obama, who for 10 years worked his way around ACORN before leading the CCC starting in 2002.

Bhargava is an editorial board member for the Nation magazine and a National Advisory Board member of Soros' Open Society Institute.

That same Open Society Institute has provided funding to the CCC, as has the Tides Center, which is heavily financed by Soros.

The CCC, in conjunction with the Tides Advocacy Fund, also operates the website of Campaign to Reform Immigration for America.

Tides functions as a money tunnel in which major leftist donors provide large sums that are channeled to hundreds of radical groups.

Tides recently has been closely linked to Occupy since the anti-Wall Street movement's inception. The Tides-funded Adbusters magazine is reported to have come up with the Occupy Wall Street idea after Arab Spring protests toppled governments in Egypt, Libya and Tunisia. The Adbusters website serves as a central hub for Occupy's planning.

The Tides-funded Ruckus Society has been providing direct-action training to Occupy protesters as well as official training resources, including manuals, to Occupy training groups. Ruckus, which helped spark the 1999 World Trade Organization riots in Seattle, was also listed as a "friend and partner" of the Occupy Days of Action in October.

Another grantee of Tides is MoveOn.org, which has joined Occupy.

Tides also funds hundreds of other far-left causes. It was a primary financier of ACORN.
