In coming weeks, I expect to eat often at Chick-fil-A and not just because I like the company and the food they serve. I'll be there as my way of protesting the disgusting behavior of some big city political hacks.
The personal views of Chick-fil-A's CEO Dan Cathy on gay marriage sparked the recent controversy. It should be noted the company does not discriminate against anybody in its hiring or in whom it serves in its restaurants. Cathy expressed an opinion shared by millions of Americans and, until recently, even by President Obama. Agree or disagree with Cathy, you should be concerned when elected officials threaten to use government power against a company because of a political disagreement with the CEO. Consider the following remarks.
Boston Mayor Thomas Menino wrote a letter declaring that there was "no place for discrimination on Boston's Freedom Trail and no place for your company alongside it."
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel said Chick-fil-A's values were "not Chicago's values." Chicago alderman Joe Moreno says he will block the company from building a restaurant in his ward.
San Francisco Mayor Edwin Lee tweeted that the closest Chick-fil-A restaurant to his city "is 40 miles away and I strongly recommend that they not try to come any closer."
Similar statements were made last week by others in positions of authority across the country. Some later backed off, others didn't.
Forgive my bluntness but frankly, such statements don't belong anywhere near a free society. These smug, self-righteous, power-wielding, small-time Nazi-types should hang their heads in shame. American voters who still appreciate what freedom is about should send them packing for Pyongyang, Havana or at least early retirement at the first electoral opportunity. Better to nip this anti-social behavior in the bud before it really goes to their heads.
I thought city governments were supposed to police the streets, keep the sewers clear and the lights on and a few other things and otherwise leave people alone. Who anointed these pin-striped thugs with the right to decide who gets to do business in town? What makes Rahm Emanuel the arbiter of the "values" of five million people? What other personal views of Mayors Menino and Lee and Alderman Moreno must a CEO agree with before he can open up shop in their territory?
It's no coincidence that these political gangsters are all left-wing ideologues. This is the way the left operates these days. Their end-justifies-the-means contempt for economic liberty is frightening for its ignorance, for its arrogance and for its willingness to use or threaten force to shut people up. It's also a logical extension of the very core of left-wing ideology, which is to put the force of government in charge of as much of your life as their guys can get their greedy, grubby hands on.
Chick-fil-A, here I come.

| -ان تمام وائرس کو ایجاد کرنے کے ساتھ ہی ان کا استعمال بھی خوب کیا گیا۔ اس وقت افریقا کا سب سے بڑا دشمن ملیریا ہے۔ ایک رپورٹ کے مطابق اس وقت بھی افریقا میں ملیریا سے ہونے والی سالانہ اموات کی تعداد سولہ لاکھ کے قریب ہے۔ پوری دنیا سے پولیو ختم کرنے کی عازم این جی اوز اگر اپنے فنڈز یہاں پر ٹرانسفر کردیں تو اس صورتحال پر قابو پایا جاسکتا ہے۔ نائن الیون کے ساتھ ہی دنیا پر قبضے کا نیا راؤنڈ شروع ہوا۔ اس سے قبل اس کی تیاریاں جاری تھیں۔ دنیا کے مختلف ممالک میں ان وائرس کو مختلف سائنسدان کو تیار کررہے تھے۔ حیرت انگیز طور پر نومبر 2001ء میں ان سائنسدانوں کی غیر قدرتی اموات ہونا شروع ہوگئیں اور پانچ ماہ کے اندر اندر سولہ سائنسدانوں کو موت کی نیند سلادیا گیا۔ موت کا پہلا شکار 12 نومبر کو ڈاکٹر بینی ٹو کیو بنے۔ ان کو ایک کار ڈکیتی میں مارا گیا۔ باون سالہ ڈاکٹر کیو میامی میڈیکل اسکول سے منسلک تھے اور انفیکشن سے ہونے والی بیماریوں اور سیلولر بائیولوجی کے ماہر تھے۔ اس کے چار دن بعد ہی ڈان ولی کا مردہ جسم دریائے مسی سپی سے برآمد ہوا۔ ستاون سالہ ولی موت کا شکار بنانے والے وائرس کے ماہر تھے۔ ولی کی موت کے پانچ دن بعد 21نومبر کو ڈاکٹر ولاد میر پاسیشنککی موت مشکوک انداز میں واقع ہوئی۔ چونسٹھ سالہ ڈاکٹر ولادیمیر بائیولوجیکل ہتھیاروں خاص طور پر وائرس کے ماہر تھے۔ 24 نومبر کو تین مائیکرو بائیولوجسٹ ڈاکٹر یاکوف ماٹزنر )، امیرامپ ایلڈر اور اویشائی برکمین اس وقت موت کا شکار ہوئے جب برلن سے زیورخ جانے والی سوئس ائر کی فلائٹ کریش ہوگئی۔ یہ تینوں اسرائیلی تھے اور موت کا شکار بنانے والے نئے وائرس دریافت کرنے کے ماہر۔ اسی برس 10 دسمبر کو ورجینیا میں ڈاکٹر رابرٹ شواز کو چاقو زنی کی ایک واردات میں قتل کردیا گیا۔ اس کے چار دن بعد ہی نگیون وان سیٹ اپنی لیبارٹری میں مردہ پائے گئے۔ ان کی موت کی وجہ دم گھٹنا بتائی گئی۔ وان سیٹ کی فرم نے ایک ایسا وائرس دریافت کیا تھا جو چیچک پر اثر انداز ہوتا ہے۔ جنوری 2002ء میں روسی مائیکرو بائیلوجسٹ اوان گلیبوف اور الیکس برش لنسکی ڈکیتی کی دومختلف وارداتوں میں مارے گئے۔ نو فروری کو وکٹر کورشونوف مارا گیا اور گیارہ فروری کو یورپی سائنسداں لئن لنگ فورڈ کو اس کے گھر میں قتل کردیا گیا۔ ایڈز پر کام کرنے والے جوڑے تانیا ہولز میئر اور گوئی یانگ ہوانگ کو 28 فروری کو قتل کردیا گیا۔ ان کی موت کی سرکاری وجہ خود کشی بتائی گئی۔ 24 مارچ کو ڈیوڈ وائن ولیمز کو جوگنگ کے دوران قتل کردیا گیا۔ ولیمز ناسا کے تحقیقاتی مرکز سے بطور ایسٹرو بائیولوجسٹ منسلک تھا۔ اس کے ایک دن بعد ہی بائیو ٹیررازم کا ماہر اسٹیون موسٹوف اپنے نجی جہاز کے کریش میں مارا گیا۔ دیکھا آپ نے 'وہ تما م افراد جو کسی روز نئے جرثومہ کا راز افشاء کرسکتے تھے، کس طرح راستے سے ہٹادیے گئے۔ اب آبادی کو کنٹرول کرنے کے دوسرے طریقے کی طرف آتے ہیں۔ یہ طریقہ ہے قدرتی آفات کا۔ امریکا کے محکمہ دفاع نے 1990ء میں قدرت پر قابو پانے کے لیے ایک نیا پروگرام شروع کیا جس کا نام High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program رکھا گیا اس کو مختصراً HAARP کہا جاتا ہے۔ کہا جاتا ہے کہ امریکا سمیت دنیا کے دس ممالک اور تنظیموں کے پاس یہ ٹیکنالوجی موجود ہے۔ امریکا میں آنے والے مشہور سائیکلوں کترینہ سمیت حال میں آنے والے زلزلوں اور سونامی میں اس ٹیکنالوجی کے استعمال کا شبہ ظاہر کیا گیا۔ موسمیات کے یوروپی و امریکی ماہرین و سائنسدانوں کا کہنا ہے کہ ان کے پاس اس کے قوی شواہد ہیں کہ ہارپ ٹیکنالوجی بڑے پیمانے پر انسانی جانیں لینے کے لیے استعمال کی جارہی ہے۔ مذکورہ دونوں طریقہ کار سے دنیا کی آبادی بڑے پیمانے پریکدم کم بھی ہو جاتی ہے اور الزام بھی کسی پر نہیں آتا۔ یہ دونوں طریقے کار افریقا و ایشیا میں بڑے پیمانے پر استعمال کیے جارہے ہیں۔ وائرس کا زیادہ استعمال افریقا میں ہے کیوں کہ وہاں کی آبادی کو جاہل قرار دے کر اس کا استعمال زیادہ آسان ہے۔ اب تیسرا طریقہ کار بچتا ہے۔ وہ ہے بڑے پیمانے پر نسل کشی۔ یہ وہ طریقہ ہے جو برما کی آبادی پر آزمایا جارہا ہے۔ اس پر بات ان شاء اللہ اگلے کالم میں۔ عالمی سازش کاروں کی ایک شیطانی عالمگیر حکومت بنانے کی سازش سے خود بھی ہشیار رہیے اور اپنے آس پاس والوں کو بھی خبردار رکھیے۔ ہشیار باش۔ |
