Dear Bruce,

NBC News has been caught again. A second edit of the George Zimmerman 9-1-1 call was discovered and a reporter was quietly let go, but NBC has yet to apology to their viewers.

NBC has now fired three people from two different offices over at least two different edits of George Zimmerman's now infamous 9-1-1 call prior to the shooting death of Trayvon Martin. Both edits were clearly designed to portray Zimmerman as a racist while raising tensions in an already volatile situation. This latest firing from NBC once again goes unexplained. The Media Research Center went on the record after uncovering their first edit that NBC is a network out of control point that their two-sentence (non)apology hidden on their website, was an insult.

The truth has been withheld from NBC's own viewers now for more than one month. Do the network executives at NBC think that this is acceptable? What about the board and shareholders of Comcast? Is it acceptable for a news organization to consciously and constantly lie to its viewers?

NBC News president Steve Capus admitted that they "probably" should have apologized on-air; NBC still has yet to do so. Even the local NBC affiliate that doctored the clip has fired the offender and apologized and retracted on-air.

Please take a moment to contact the Board of Directors at Comcast - NBC's parent company - and tell them to clean house! If you've already called, emailed or written board members - please do so again!

NBC is playing with fire by altering these tapes to serve their liberal agenda. Racial tensions are being inflamed causing a dangerous situation across our country.

Tell Comcast's board that you demand a full apology, new leadership and honest reporting from NBC. Otherwise Comcast's reputation will be sullied by NBC's irresponsible actions.

ATF to accept public comments prior to outlawing shotguns

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms is taking a rare step of allowing public comments prior to issuing a decision on a study that could result in outlawing certain types of shotguns currently available to citizens.

The ATF completed a study regarding the importability of certain shotguns. The basis for a possible ban is based on a loosely defined "Sporting Purpose" test. Using the vague definition almost all pump-action and semi-automatic shotguns could be banned as they are all capable of accepting a magazine, box or tube capable of holding more than 5 rounds. Other characteristics determined to be "military" by the ATF can also be used as a basis for a ban.

Ironically, many shotguns with "military" features are currently being used in shooting competitions held by the USPSA, IDPA and IPSC. The rules could also result in obscure regulations where an individual would be unsure if he is violating them or not.

Dudley Brown, Executive Director of Rocky Mountain Gun Owners, said if the ATF succeeds with the banning of tactical shotguns it "will be the most dangerous interpretation of the 1968 Gun Control Act ever envisioned and will outlaw thousands of perfectly legitimate home defense shotguns."

The ATF is currently allowing public comments on the study until the end of the month. Those wishing to express concerns about the study can send an email to shotgunstudy@atf.gov

Don't do it,period.You think you got a pissed off WE THE PEOPLE now just start banning ANY guns.WE THE PEOPLE have a right to bear arms.Nowhere in the Constitution does it say what kind or under ANY restrictions.

WE THE PEOPLE demand that the federal government cease all tyrannical action against WE THE PEOPLE.This includes having any restrictions on guns.A free man has the right to bear arms across any state lines without having to be under the oppression of the government.The government that WE THE PEOPLE hire and the government that WE THE PEOPLE can fire.

I'm for background checks but after that the state has no control over WE THE PEOPLE so says the CONSTITUTION.

WHO CARES IF THE GUN HAS A SPORTING PURPOSE. MILITARY WEAPONS ARE THE GUNS THE 2ND AMENDMENT WAS PUT IN PLACE TO PROTECT. THE MAIN REASON FOR THE 2ND AMENDMENT IS TO DEFEND AGAINST TYRANNY. WE ARE SUPPOSED TO HAVE MILITARY WEAPONS. GUNS HAVING A SPORTING PURPOSE IS UTTERLY IRREVELENT.
